The auxiliary display that contains the rear camera view failed on several occasions even after the software installation from Ford to fix the failure of this display. The aural alert for cross traffic and pedestrian warning still functions, however, without the display I do not know what is behind or beside the car and from which direction it is coming from when backing out of blind parking spot (between two trucks in the last case). The Mustang is currently being inspected by the local dealer again.
Reverse camera occasionally fails to load/display markings about car position, including rear cross traffic alert. Has happened two times, one prior to the instrument recall fix and one after the fix had been applied to my car. Prior to the recall being fixed, the rear cross traffic alert would still work.
Dashboard screen visually displaying backup camera, ventilation controls, radio, etc goes blank intermittently without warning. Other 2024 Mustangs have been recalled for this issue.
The instrument panel cluster (ipc) may not illuminate at startup or while driving.
