The defective emergency parking brake malfunctioned when the vehicle was parked and the key out of the ignition, and the emergency parking brake up. The vehicle rolled away, hitting a tree, which may have caused injuries. The emergency parking brake is still in the "up position" after the accident. Cause unknown. Please provide further details.
The vehicles park brake control assembly failed prior to recall notice 00v-349 causing the vehicle to roll down a hill and hit a stone wall damaging the rear end, consumer request reimbursement. Nlm.
1/11/98 parking brake failed while parked on incline and in first gear. Car rolled down driveway into lawn and hit mailbox. Was towed to dealer and dealer could find no problem. Paid out of pocket for damages to bumper and to mailbox. 12/1/2000 recieved safety recall 00s37 which describes this situation exactly. Contacted Ford rep kathy allen, " will not send a investigator, the incident is too old" thus denied the claim that the car rolling is related to the recall. I am now looking for others with similar issues to form or join a class action lawsuit against Ford.
When the consumer parks vehicle with the emergency parking brake on, the parking brake most of the time holds vehicle. Sometimes it holds vehicle and for no reason lets go, after it holds it for a while. The problem had happened before where the consumer had to rush inside the vehicle to stop it on time.
Front end vibrates/shakes. In addition, brakes failed, pedal went all the way to the floor, almost caused an accident. In addition, emergency brake failed/steering assembly malfunctioned, causing vehicle to pull in either direction.

Consumer received recall notification (00v349000) consumer states appointment was made two weeks in advanced, consumer was advised that vehicle was not ready because the part was not available, consumer is not satisifed with the way situation was handled because appointment was made in advance and he feels part should have already been there.
The parking brake failed prior to recall notice 00v-349 causing damage to the right rear of the vehicle.
When vehicle is parked on a slight incline with parking brake applied vehicle will roll forward. Please give any further details.

Consumer received recall 00v349, however the emergency brake failed, causing an accident, consumer had applied the brake while vacating the vehicle, the brake released itself causing it to roll and hit a wall on a curb.
Vehicle rolled and hit another vehicle, while parked in first gear with parking brake up as per owners manual, possibly parking brake failure or transmission failure.
Prior to recall 00v349, vehicle's parking brake failed causing it to roll out of a parked position and sustain minor damage, consumer is requesting that Ford accepts responsibility.
This vehicle has been recalled for a faulty emergency brake according to your records, but the manufacturer has yet to contact me to inform me of this fact.
I feel that the mounting bracket where the teeth on the hand/parking brake mesh is too thin. Thus the amount of friction caused by the weight of the fuel in the fuel tank sways enough to cause the parking brake to dislodge and become disengaged.
Emergency brake slips regularly. Had it adjusted once, but still slips. Must keep car in gear to ensure it doesn't roll away.
While vehicle was parked with the emergency parking brake engaged, vehcile rolled backwards, hitting a telephone pole. Please give any further details.
