One problem related to defogger heater has been reported for the 1999 Ford Ranger. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Heater stopped putting out warm air. It felt like the a/c was on. Kept smelling antifreeze. Upon checking the next day, I found the metal tubes on the cast aluminum head was where it was coming from.
