1 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2018

Takata recall: air bag inflators were replaced on 4/5/18. Air bag warning light has been lit ever since. I called Ford customer service and eddy(id# 73042) wants to charge me for the repeat repair. I have a customer complaint open, cas 14958575-p7n4c3. I followed up with the dealer and got the same response. The Ranger is flashing a code 34(driver air bag). Am I supposed to be content that the killer air bag was change for a defective air bag? dealer invoice the date as 3/5/18, not correct.

2 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 03/08/2018

"takata recall" Ford motor company sent me a recall notice early in 2018, telling me that my Ranger was undriveable due to high risk takata airbag inflators. The notice told me to contact my dealer, schedule an appointment for recall 18s02 and that they would arrange to have it picked up or towed. I was not to drive it to the dealer. The notice said I would be provided a loaner if needed. I called the nearest Ford dealer (great lakes Ford in muskegon, mi). I was told by their employee to contact eagle towing and have my car towed to the dealership, which I did. The car was towed to the dealership (after they were closed) and the tow truck driver demanded I pay him and get reimbursement from the dealership. Since the dealership had told me to use this tow company and the recall notice said Ford would pay for it, I thought getting reimbursed would be easy. Wrong. After almost a year and many phone calls, emails and 1 letter to the dealership I have received nothing. Today the dealership offered to pay me half of the cost I incurred to have the Ranger towed. I refused their offer. I believe it is clearly immoral for Ford to tell me to have the vehicle towed for a required recall and then refuse to reimburse me when I did exactly what they told me to do, but I do not know if what they have done to me is illegal. I am writing to the NHTSA to see if there are applicable rules/laws requiring the manufacturer to honor their promise to make repairs required by the NHTSA to my vehicle at no cost to me the owner. Thank you, I appreciate your assistance in helping me understand this process which does not (to me) seem to be working the way it should. If it is pertinent, the towing cost $185. 40 because it is a sparsely populated farming community and the nearest dealership was over 20 miles away. I did not need and did not request a loaner vehicle.

7 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 11/23/2016

Driver airbag inflator replacement. . Nhtsa recall number: 16v036 recall date: January 22, 2016 manufacturer recall number: 16s03 Ford has yet to contact me to let me know if the part is available, this is unacceptable. The recall says the driver side airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. If this occurs, it may increase the risk of injury or death to the occupants. If it is this serious, than why am I still driving this vehicle, I should be in a rental until this recall is accomplished. There are already deaths involved , this is why there is a recall. I was in a minor accident on November 23, 2016, I am blessed that my airbag didn't deploy, now I'm more worried than ever.

10 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2016

Takata recallmessage: I drive a 2006 Ford Ranger. I would guess you know about the air bag inflator recall and the deaths involved with this particular vehicle. Well, I had both the inflators replaced in 2016. So now I got another recall notice that I have to have both those inflators replaced again. So even after I had those inflators replaced two years ago, I need to have them replaced again. Did the Ford motor company replace the defective inflators with two more defective inflators? have I been driving around, still, with inflators that could kill me? nobody seems to have an answer. Also, why was the Ford motor company allowed to replace bad inflators with bad inflators? the new recall from Ford tells me that parts are available, yet, they have no parts. (I saw my dealer yesterday) so now I am still driving around in a vehicle that could possibly kill me with a device that was meant to save me. I don't have the choice of just parking my truck until Ford feels like getting the parts. And lastly, since Ford put bad inflators in my Ranger two years ago, how do I know they are not going to do the same thing again once t my dealer gets the parts? please, any help on your part would be greatly appreciated.

Takata recall. I have been retained to represent the family of a gentleman who died on December 22, 2015 due to a defective driver side takata airbag in a 2006 Ford Ranger. The accident occurred in lancaster county, SC. Metal from the inflator canister exploded penetrating my clients neck resulting in death. Decedent hit a cow in the middle of the road causing him to run off the road into a field -resulting in airbag deployment. Accident occurred at 3527 rocky river rd. In lancaster county, SC. Client was not ejected from vehicle but remained stationary in driver seat. There is no doubt airbag shrap metal killed my client, as this has been confirmed by death certificate and autopsy report. South carolina highway patrol is still working to complete their mait team investigation. Please contact me directly and I can provide you with more information and other documents.
