Car accident on 6/21/2023 - richardson texas air bags never deployed. The truck hit a tree head on . The air bags were maintainced at the Ford dealership a couple of years ago when we got the recall notice passanger air bag never deployed.

Several attempts have been made to attain an appointment to remedy this recall with a local dealership (long-lewis) in corinth, ms. As of today, I have made six attempts to talk with service about this recall, no response has yet been offered. My concern is that I have been driving this vehicle since I purchased new in February 2008 with a potential grenade imitating an air bag and Ford motor company and or their dealerships do not seem to take this concern seriously. Why is the federal government (nhsta) so passive about safety?.

Recently purchased this truck and apparetly the passeenger air bag was missing or had previosly failed by imploding. I do not now the history of vehicle. I carried the truck to rockwall Ford in rockwall, texas to have the air bag recall taken care off. After being there for a week the service manager called me and said Ford would not pay for this since passenger air bag was missing. Ford said I would need to pay for the service myself. I have a major problem with Ford now because they are obligated by law to repace the air bags regardless any of prior events. Priors are totally irrevelant and meaningless. End result I want Ford motor company to replace the 2 air bags a no cost to me the consumer. The contact owns a 2008 Ford Ranger. The contact received a notification for NHTSA campaign number: 21v158000(air bag); however, the parts for the repair were unavailable. Several dealers including autonation Ford littleton(8252 s broadway, littleton, CO 80122);schomp Ford-150 (s havana st, aurora, CO 80012); o'meara Ford(400 w 104th Ave, northglenn, CO 80234); larry h. Miller Ford lakewood(11595 w 6th Ave, lakewood, CO 80215) and phil long Ford(1114 motor city dr, colorado springs, CO 80905) have all been notified about the recall; however, the contact was informed in various ways by each dealer that the parts were not yet available. The manufacturer had been notified of the recall and offered no assistance. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the repair. We are still getting recall notices even though the airbags have been repaired. We contacted Ford and they said they have record of the repair being completed but we need to contact dmv to get it recorded.

Takata recall - I received a settlement notice from a district court in florida stating I may have been part of a recall - checked my VIN on nhsta site and it did indeed have a recall from June 2006. I was never notified by Ford about this recall. On the nhsta website it states that if they do not notify my within a timely manner to make repairs on the vehicle, that I should log a complaint. I am unsure the steps I should go about getting this fixed and if Ford will handle the replacement. Any information would be helpful.

The contact stated that the dealer failed to comply with the remedy and part replacement for manufacturer air bag recall number: 16b15 (driver's air bag). The contact called the dealer (kelly Ford, 776 magnolia Ave, melbourne, FL 32935, (321) 216-2042) regarding scheduling an appointment for an alignment and was informed that the part for the recall repair was available. When the contact was at the dealer for the alignment, the invoice indicated that the part for the recall repair was identical to a joint investigation on an engineering analysis; therefore, the part for the air bag was not replaced. The manufacturer was contacted. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Takata recall - I received a letter from Ford several months ago telling me that the replacement part (18s02) was finally at the local dealership after waiting many months on this part to arrive. I drove to the dealership and they said the part was not there, but will be in June. I called the dealership in the beginning of June, and they tell me the part will not be in until later July or even later. So, then I called the 1-866-436-7332 Ford customer service line and they tell me that they have no idea when the part will be arriving at the dealerships, but they were nice enough to call the local dealership for me and have the parts department order the part specifically for me. I asked the person at the dealership when the part will arrive and he said it may be two weeks, two months, or even much longer than that. Ford should not send customers letters stating that a recalled part is in the dealerships when it is actually not there. This is blatantly lying to the customers and should be punishable by law. The dealerships are caught in the middle of this and it is not fair to them either. It's funny that when the fire in michigan disrupted the production of the f150, it only took a very short time to get that up and running because I think Ford cares more about selling cars and trucks than about their current customers. It's really sad that I am not allowed to have a passenger in my truck for going on two years now, due to this safety recall. I don't even know if it is safe for me to drive, but I have no choice and they are not going to give me a vehicle to drive until mine is repaired. I seriously doubt that I will ever purchase a Ford product ever again because I see that they care more about making money than they do about caring for the safety of their customers.

My complaint is why does Ford issue recall notices when the parts aren't available at dealerships. I've called sam galloway Ford in fort myers three separate times from April till today and am not even really sure whether or not I'm in the system with them. I was told the two previous times I was but today they advised I wasn't. Once again I was told the parts would take a couple of weeks to get in, yet this is a major safety recall! why aren't they available?.

Takata recall I received notice of recall 16v-384 in late April. I called for an appointment on April 24th and was told there were no part in stock and they had no idea when parts would be coming. Additionally, they would notify me when the parts arrived. I've waited a month, and called again on may 21st. Still no parts in hand, and no indication as to when parts will be available. I continue to have a car with an outstanding recall. What expectations should I have when notified that "parts are available" and instructions to "please call your dealer without delay and request a service date. . . ".

Why? appointment made at corwin Ford in nampa, idaho on 05/15/2018. I am not impressed. Why do these dealerships not have replacement parts?.

"takata recall" we have 3 Ford vehicles all on recall list and since the begining of recall. Have received notices to have repaired, when dealer contacted we placed on waiting list and with each new notice we have continued to call dealer and each time have been told parts are on order and we will be contacted when available. It has been several years now and still no fix. This last notice states again repair is available but dealer continues to stat as always they have not arrived. Now the news and the web site reccomends we do not drive the vehicles. When ask if they can be removed or deactivated while we wait for a replacement they say no. Is our only option to travel in a mobile bomb? I am very upset, today when I called if their is a way to have it disabled until a new one is available or some way it can be replaced immediatly please let us know. It should be a crime to force people to drive in unsafe vehicles.

5/3/2016 airbag recall. Bought car at ted russell Ford in 8551 kingston pike knoxville TN. 37919 . Ph# 865-223-6727. They and all Ford dealers state they can not repair because they can not get parts. Called Ford motors at 800-3923673. They state they gave ted russell Ford case # 14609722 to kelly service manager and they can , but ted russell Ford says they can not. I was even told that I would just have to continue to drive with dangerous airbag. Continues calls and visits last one dated below.
