Takata recall I received a 2nd letter from Ford dated April 2018 telling me that 'parts are now available to repair your vehicle'. I have contacted 3 area dealers here in no. California and none of them have parts or can estimate when they will be available. This whole scenario started over 2 years ago and is still ongoing. Ford is definitely not doing enough to solve this dilemma and playing with people's lives via a possible faulty inflator. I appreciate all that NHTSA has done in this matter to date, but more pressure must be put on Ford to expedite this repair process.
Our dealer is unable to locate replacement takata airbag inflators. For this vehicle. Apparently a remedy is "not yet available". Driving this vehicle is like driving with a potential loaded cannon pointed at you. This is unacceptable and should be a priority for Ford to fix -- even if they have to make these bag inflators themselves.
Takata inflators. Despite my being notified that Ford would replace airbag(s) through my local dealership, and despite my repeated calls to my local dealership, where I bought the vehicle, there has been zero response. Dealership says it has been waiting for parts, ie, defective airbag replacements, since last quarter, which is when Ford apparently told dealership they would get them. Dealership has not gotten any airbag replacements for my Ranger. People have died. People are continuing to die. This is unacceptable. This airbag that is killing people must be fixed by Ford ASAP.
We just received notice about the airbag inflator recall for this truck. Original notice came out July 2016!.
"takata recall" 17s01 this complaint is not inregards to an accident that has happened but the lack of action by Ford motor company and tk holdings inc to timely replace a defective airbag inflator. I rcvd a letter from Ford motor CO on 3-6-17 stating I will be sent a letter to inform me when parts are available and to contact my dealer to schedule a repair. Being tired of waiting to be informed by Ford motor CO, I called my dealer for more information, or to see if they have any parts. I was told they do not have parts. I asked the dealer representative if they had replaced airbag inflators on similar vehicles, and they stated that they had. My complaint is that I'm tired of waiting for this part to be replaced. I want it replaced immediately. I don't have time to wait until some other vehicle hits my vehicle causing the airbag to deploy, simmultaneously throwing metal fragments into the cabin and killing or injuring me or my family. I am 59 years old and I have a lifetime accident free driving record. I also received a flyer notice from tk holdings inc. During the first week in November 2017 claiming that if I don't register my email address with them at tkrestructuring. Com/ppic' by December 27, 2017 that they may be discharged from " all indebtedness and liability with respect to such a claim. How much time do I have to keep spending to get this problem fixed?.
Recall letter July 2016 - passenger frontal airbag inflator may rupture. When parts become available for safety recall 16s26 Ford motor company will notify you via mail. No letter was ever received . Went to Ford in denton last week and they are still doing driver airbags, and when they get the parts for us we would be notified.
"takata inflator recall" I call the dealership but no airbags for my truck are being made so what happens to my truck now it losses value due to takata.
"takata recall" notified in July 2016 that passenger airbag was a safety hazard. Told they would call when the part was available. Called Ford customer service in June 2017 and told the parts were still not available and this was not really a safety hazard and I would be contacted when the parts are available. Received a letter today from Ford that they want me to voluntarily participate in an "important safety research study" to "replace the takata driver airbag inflator free"/ "this is not a safety recall". So they have the parts to replace the driver side that has not been recalled and after 16 months Ford still hasn't the parts to replace the passenger airbag that is a safety hazard. Something is wrong at Ford/.
Although a recall notice was received, I took truck to the dealership, team Ford in steubenville, ohio and they told me they could not replace the inflator. The truck has 1500 miles on it and has been kept in a garage for the past 6 years. Is it safe to drive with a passenger in the car and how would I be able to get the inflator replaced? I am planning to move the truck to florida with someone riding in the passenger seat. Please advise what I need to do to have the manufacturer take action. Thank you.
Takata inflators I noticed my air bag light was periodically coming on and thought it was a possible bad connection somewhere. I just found out today that my truck has been on the recall list for over 6 months and was not notified by anyone including the dealership where I punched it new. What should I do.
Takata inflators can't get dealer to repair they keep saying that they don't have the parts for repairs. We have called and checked numerous times.

Takata recall - Ford notified me by mail in July 2016 that the passenger frontal airbag inflator might be defective and that Ford would notify me via mail when parts are available to replace the defective airbag inflator. I telephoned Ford on June 8, 2017 at (800) 392-3673 to inquire about getting the airbag inflator replaced sinice I had not yet received notification from Ford. I was told that no parts were available yet. I received a notification from Ford on October 28, 2017 that Ford wanted to replace the driver airbag inflator as part of a voluntary research program. I have not yet responded to this request. However, Ford still has not notified me to replace the original identified passenger airbag inflator.
Takata recall. I received a safety recall notice 16s26/NHTSA recall 16v-384 from the Ford motor CO. In July 2016 that their was a recall on the passenger frontal air bag inflator and it may rupture in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment. In the recall notice it said that the parts were not available at this time and when they were available they would notify me via mail. I have been to the dealership where I bought the vehicle many times and have been told they do not have the parts and that Ford will notify me when the parts would be available. I contacted Ford motor CO, customers service department by phone and was told the same thing, when the parts are available they will notify me. It is now October 2017 and still have not been notified. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Takata inflators - no parts available? waiting since July 2016.
Takata recall - passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. This has taken way too long. We received notification July 2016 - one year ago! we are in a very humid area and this is a city vehicle that handles mosquito control. We are in mosquito season and need this vehicle!.
I received a notification that my inflators could cause death or serious injury on June 10 2016. Safety recall notice 16s26/NHTSA recall 16v-384. I have been to my local Ford dealership several times about the recall notification. They indicated that they would notify me when the parts were recieved. Now, I recieved a notification that this manufacturer is now claiming bankruptcy. I want my vehicle repaired ASAP! can you help.
