Takata recall. Unable to get replacement in a timely manner.
Takata recall. Received 1st recall July 2017 for passenger airbag. Have repeatedly tried to get Ford to fix the problem with no sucess and also told the problem is only in high humidiy areas. December 2017 received another recall for the same problem except now am advised not to have any passengers ride in the truck. Today I heard of another fatality but in a 2006 Ranger with only 1 week's production told not to drive these specific trucks. This flys in the face of common sense. Ford should be required to sequester all affected Rangers and provide free loaners or equitable repurchase. I now have a Ranger with less than 50,000 that I am fearfull to use; your agency should demand this!.
Takata recall -- we received a letter that there was a recall on our truck for the passenger airbag. My husband took the vehicle to our local Ford dealership (hassett Ford) Friday, January 5 to have the airbag replaced. He was told that they did not have the parts and had no idea when they would receive them. They said to call Ford directly. My husband tried the 800 number to no available.
Have attempted to have dealer replace air bag, just getting the run a round,.

We just received a recall notice for the first time for this truck. This recall started July 2016!.
Truck had been under recall for 1 year prior to purchase. Not informed of recall when I purchased vehicle found out when I brought in for service at 5000 miles and told it would be repaired when parts become available this was in oct 2017. Received a letter from Ford Jan. 2018 not to have a passenger in truck until air bag is replaced and parts would not be available until spring of 2018. I have to take a passenger in the vehicle or it is worthless to me dealership says they can't deactivate the air bag and will not provide a loaner vehicle. Why won't you allow Ford to deactivate defective safety equipment that can potentially cause death. I have no choice but to continue to use the vehicle and take a passenger at times it would be safer if the airbag was deactivated and I can not afford to buy a truck to use in the meantime or to rent one and let mine rot in the driveway. 2 years for repair of a safety issue is ridiculous and the burden should not be placed on the consumer because a supplier of safety equipment manufactured faulty equipment.

Takata recall July 2016 I receive a letter from Ford stating there is a recall on my truck and parts to fix will be available shortly. Now 18 months later I receive another letter stating parts may be available in the spring 2018. The letter states "do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat. " I contacted the number in the letter and informed them I do not feel safe driving my 2008 Ranger that is similar to the gentleman's truck who died after striking a cow in south carolina. I was told there is nothing Ford can do. No loaner is available, and if something happened to me while driving Ford would investigate and "take care of it. " so if I die they write a check? how much is one human life going for these days? when will you put pressure of Ford to expedite these repairs or provide loaners? I have now lost the use of half of my truck. I cannot let my children, my spouse, my pets, or even my backpack ride in my passenger seat.

Takata recall? my airbag is defective for years now and I still don't have a solution or invitation to have repaired.
Takata recall it is ridiculous that replacement parts are still not available for the takata recall. Ford is responsible, make them address the problem.
Takata recall - been waiting for a passenger airbag replacement since mid-2016. Last letter of December 2017 states 'do not let anyone sit in the front passenger seat'. Parts have been delayed, they say. May have parts for some vehicles in late spring 2018. Somebody needs to ensure dealers make loaners available in the meantime.

I just found out that there has been a safety recall on my truck concerning the front passenger air bag since 2016 yet I have yet to receive any notice from Ford about the recall. After doing some online investigation, found this is a valid recall. I only learned about the recall when I was sent a notice about a class-action lawsuit which could include my situation. I have never received any notice from Ford concerning this issue and if I look for an immediate fix, they say that one is not available yet?? if this is really such a serious issue w/ faulty air bags, why has it taken so long for a viable solution to yet be announced?.

Takata recall, it has been a year and five months since there was a "safety" recall issued for this vehicle, yet " Ford motor company understands that the vehicles involved in the recent takata recall are safe to drive while you are waiting for replacement parts. " this is unacceptable. Either this is a safety issue or not. If the vehicle is "safe to drive," then why have a recall? if it isn't safe, then seventeen months (and counting) is far too long to wait for a remedy.

Takata recall why is this recall still active? why is there no remedy, and the vehicle manufacturers act as if it is no big deal that a vehicle they manufactured could kill you!.
I contacted the fremont Ford dealership (in fremont California) to inquire about getting our airbags replaced. They acknowledged that our truck does fall under the takata recall but they are not doing anything at this time and do not have or have had any replacement parts available, nor do they know if or when they will get them. The person I spoke with was a women who identified herself as margarita. I would like our airbag replaced but do not know how to proceed if my local Ford dealership is (what I perceive to be as) ignoring the recall.

Takata recall -- called local dealer town & country in alamosa, colorado to have bags replaced and was told the company has no current plan to do so.
Takata recall - my vehicle is involved in the takata air bag recall and I contacted my local dealer as requested concerning this recall. They advised that they have no parts availability date for necessary parts to replace or repair the passenger air bag in my vehicle. They also indicated that the VIN indicates that the driver air bag is not noted as being a takata item or it has previously been serviced as I have had this vehicle since July 2015 and have no knowledge of anything prior to that time. My local Ford dealer indicates that to their knowledge nothing is in work to furnish the parts necessary to correct the issue with the takata air bags other then their recent filing for bankruptcy which certainly indicates these necessary parts most likely will not be forthcoming. Is the NHTSA involved in any action to assist in making the necessary recall parts available to the Ford service network so our vehicles can be repaired or what other action can be pursued to resolve this unsafe situation with these vehicles? .
Takata recall- Ford dealership still has no remedy for replacements even though this recall was from 6-1-2016. Recall number 16v384 Ford recall number 16s26. We called as soon as we received notice and were told they would contact us when replacement parts were available. As of today, 10-31-17, we have yet to get any notice and when you go on line to Ford dealership, it still states parts are not yet available. (recall incomplete, remedy not yet available. ) this is very concerning as this should have been available at time of recall.

Takata recall.
Takata recall - I received a recall notice in July, 2016 and have yet to get my airbag replaced. On October 26, 2017 (over a year later) I phoned our local Ford dealership here in columbus, GA (rivertown Ford @ 706-653-7420) and was informed that they do not know when the parts will be available. I was given the number for Ford customer relations center (800-392-3673) whereupon I phoned and was told the same thing. My husband drives a Toyota corolla with the same recall notice. He is getting his repaired on 10/28/17 through rivertown Toyota, columbus, GA. I do not understand why Ford is not expediting this repair since it is a major concern regarding life or death with the airbag possibly rupturing in the event of a crash. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Takata airbag recall. I contacted scenic Ford dealership in my area for the repair of the airbag. I was told that the parts where not available for the repairs and they had no idea when they would have the parts. It is my understanding that there is a risk for injury or death if the airbag were to rupture or inflate. The recall began in June, 2016 and parts are still not available? I am at unease driving my vehicle knowing I am at risk. I would like the repairs completed ASAP.
Takata recall checked with two different Ford dealerships, they claims no parts are available, it has been 10 months since original notice of recall, it seems like if you don't purchase the Ranger from them they're no interested in re-placing the airbag.
Takata recall - I was involved in an accident involving a deer hit in October 2017 which caused my airbag to deflate improperly. The plastic ruptured, the airbag only partially inflated and the plastic came back and punctured my stomach. If I would not have had my seatbelt on, it would have gone deep into my stomach, possibly causing surgery. I never received an airbag recall notice prior to this incident. I had purchased in the truck in December 2014. My vehicle ended up totaled in the accident, but I knew there was a problem with the inflation of the airbag.
