When I accelerate after a stop my truck starts jerking when shifting thru lower gears and the check engine light flashes. To increase my speed I have to slowly press the gas until it shifts thru gears. After it shifts thru the lower gears it appears to be okay. It doesn't do it at each stop but is now happening more frequently. I don't know if it's a transmission problem or fuel pump. Current mileage is around 62000. If I'm on the highway it will sometimes start jerking while the using cruise control and I have hit the brakes and take over acceleration. I've now parked the truck because dealer cannot get to it for 3-4 weeks.

The truck randomly loses power, sometimes after rounding a corner, getting into turn lane, or over a speedbump the accelerator is dead for 1-2 seconds and the truck does not move forward. It has left me in a precarious position in the middle of the road with on coming traffic.

It started moth my vehicle losing power and chugging , dealership diagnosed as transmission (10 speed ). After all of the Ford appointed tasks to fix said problem, valves were replaced , did not work then entire transmission was replaced . After 7 times in the shop and many missed work hours . Maybe 2 weeks later truck starts bucking as I enter the highway , was close to getting rear ended . Brought vehicle to dealership 2 weeks later diagnosed with the turbo going out in it . And then Friday 3/14 driving home from work the check engine light comes on. Says emission issues ? also says need to service engine soon . Dealership says it is fine to drive they will call me when they can figure it out ? my vehicle ha less than 25k miles these issues started when I had 17k on it started 8/5/24.
Oil level 1/2 quart high, and smells like gasoline. ? actual mileage on truck is 8,544 last oil change @ dealership @ wiscasset Ford on 5/6/24 in wiscasset, maine. 378 bath road 04578-9431 I was informed this is an issue. But what is the fix. ?.
There is insufficient shielding to prevent water from reaching the top of the engine. This results in water dripping on the coil packs and also entering the spark plug wells, causing loss of spark and reduced engine output. Over time, this issue also leads to rust in the engine head, potentially resulting in engine failure. Additionally, water can reach the egr dpfe sensor, causing the engine to hesitate and shutter at various speeds. Both of these issues together cause a misfire when applying the accelerator and will cause the vehicle to initially hesitate then surge forward. Even with the engine cover, the venting at the base of the windshield allows water to drip down on the engine head, causing the above issues. Ford does recognize that there is an issue and have written several tsbs on the it.

Water leaks into spark plug wells causing vehicle to lose power no cover is over the sparkplugs.
When turning on to another road and accelerating, engine will suddenly loose all power. Releasing accelerator will regain some power until vehicle speed increases. Throttle control is often erratic and transmission shifting is inconsistent resulting in hard clunks during shift. Pulling into traffic with a sudden loss of power leaves me vulnerable to a collision.
Went on a trip with the vehicle. When returning to home put the vehicle in the garage. Came out the next day and the garage smelled like a gas can. Looked all around could not find signs of the gas. Got in the truck and was overwhelmed by gas smell. Moved the vehicle out of the garage. Googled the issue and found 170 pages of people with the same issue. The engine is filling with gas and overfilling the engine. Lots of people have taken vehicles to the dealer and Ford is advising changing the oil more often and not drive short trips. This seems to be a possible fire hazard to me. If continued driving the gas will eventually come out and pour onto the hot engine resulting in a fire?.

Unintended aceleration veheicle experienced normal stop with no anomaly. Upon release of brakes, experienced reported wide open throttle" brakes were ineffective. Vehicle accelerate thru intersection striking guardrail with significant damage. Wot stopped by shutting of engine. Vehicle currently in repair. Reported event to local dealer service dept, insurance rep and Ford referencing 2010 class action lawsuit for similar events, all claim no knowledge of such an event. Vehicle had no previous reports of similar events.
Problem with fuel pump city switch keeps burning up and causing my truck to to die while I’m driving it. I have got it checked by a mechanic shop and the problem keeps happening. The fuel pump, the cut off switch and the connector and wires have all been replaced and it still continues to happen. This has been happening for years and is causing me to almost get in a car accident.

Excessive fuel in the oil. Oil smells of gas and is diluted. Almost a quart high at 3000 mile mark. Dealer and Ford admit this may be an issue on some engines but it is supposed to be normal??? we installed a pcv catch can and it will fill up with fuel in about 800-1000 miles. That is almost 8 ozs. The included photo shows oil at about 4000 miles. The second hole you see in the dipstick is above the full mark.
I jumped in the truck to run an errand, started the engine, rolled down the windows and got a faint whiff of gasoline. Checked the back seat to see if I had thrown rag or something, didn't see anything and started to pull down my driveway (about 250ft - gravel - rural area). The gas smell quickly became very strong. I stopped at the end of the driveway, got out of the truck to inspect what the issue might be. It was raining gasoline under my truck. Quickly turned off ignition (which stopped the gas pouring out). Had it towed to the dealer to get it fixed. Diagnosis was that a rodent (squirrel) had chewed through the gas line somewhere. Lucky for me it was a hot summer day (open window), otherwise I may have driven down the road until a fireball erupted. Kind of stunned that the fuel line is so insanely vulnerable. What would it cost to harden the gas line (a metal casing) - an extra $50 per vehicle. This needs to be addressed.
Unknown, my vehicle seems to stall in low gear. I already informed the dealership several times, and they stated that everything was fine. The stalling appears to be getting more frequent as time goes on, and worried that this could cause further damage to the vehicle. This is a safety concern as well.
Drive truck and park in garage and garage smells like gas. Only happens when parking truck in garage right after driving it. This has happened about 3-4 times now. I don't drive it that often. Just had an oil change at Ford and drove home. Then the next day I took it out and parked it in garage and gas smell again. Smell will last 2-3 days if truck stays parked. Have an appt. This coming week at Ford.
The critical level of fuel dilution (fuel% = 5. 5) in the motor oil of this vehicle's 2. 3l ecoboost engine poses a safety hazard due to its system's fuel leaks and fire danger probability existing since the vehicle purchase. I am concerned for the safety of everyone because this vehicle has been evaluated to be a fire hazard with 104. 5c via astm d93 closed cup flash point. The motorcraft's safety data sheet (sds) is listed as >185c. Ford motor company (fmc) inspected the vehicle numerous times but safety issues remain. For this reason, I took it out of service and parked at my residence until this problem would be resolved entirely in according with the law. The vehicle mustn't be driven on its power.
I changed my oil at 5,000 miles, I have approximately 8,400 miles on my truck now. I noticed excessive fuel built up in my oil catch can. After doing some research a lot of people with the 2019 Ford Ranger are having the same issue. I checked my oil and my oil was saturated with fuel. Fuel is getting into the engine oil.
When at stop light engine rpms go up high where it is hard to hold vehicle still with brakes.

Consistent issue with fuel in oil. Latest report from the oil analysis have 4. 5 percent fuel in oil. Dropping oil ignition point to 285 degrees. Issue occurs during normal vehicle use.
While pulling up to a security gate when I applied the brakes the vehicle accelerated. And I ran into the gate. I could not stop. Don't know why this happened.

Every so often when I step on the brake and accelerate one time I almost backed into somebody there's been a lot of complaints on the internet about this happening to their Ford Ranger 2003.
The gas accident cut off switch cut out randomly during driving on a smooth flat road at highway speed as well as around town at slower speed. A less experienced driver could have had a deadly. Accident. I reset it several times and had to replace it. Ford should have had a re-call on this very dangerous problem. I have the old switch if it is needed.
After short drive, and shutdown engine would crank but not start. Towed to dealership. Next day truck started right up. Dealer could find no issues. Several weeks and 2000 miles later, problem occurred again. Found fuel inertia switch electrical connector melted. Fell apart when removing. Purchased new switch and electrical harness connector pigtail. Fortunately failure occurred after stopping and shutting down. Could cause a terrible accident if failure occurred at highway speeds. Something is causing an overheat condition in this switch/connector.

If I left the engine idle more than two minutes it would not pass the state emissions test. Now the emission light came on and it will not go off anymore. Almost got an accident vehicle will not drive over 20 mph anymore. I must have the same problems of thousands of other people. I was told I have to change the heads on the engine because of poor quality cast iron heads that was used for like three years. My Ford truck is one of these years they had the issues. Now I have to spend thousands of dollars fixing it this is nonsense with the low miles I have on it. These Fords should be recalled because of the safety issue. I have taken such good care of this truck and it still looks like brand-new I have to fix it! please help!!!.
I was backing down a driveway when the truck accelerated full throttle while I had my foot on the brake peddle. I ended up crashing into a tree totaling my 2003 Ford Ranger XLT.
Fuel inertial cut-off switch activates randomly, usually once or twice a year. Result is sudden unexpected loss of engine power. Can happen while driving in town or on the freeway. Does not matter if the vehicle is moving fast or slow. The device can be reset by pushing a button but the device is not accessible from the drivers side while driving. Dangerous as the loss of power is total, immediate, and without warning. The is currently no recall for this item but I see from your website and other websites that this problem has happened to other people.
Nylon fuel line rubbed against metal return line to create a hole and very large fuel leak due to high pressure. The close contact between the nylon and metal tubes appears to be a design error. We live in a rural area with sandy roads that act as an abrasive.
Traveling on state rout 56 entered the off ramp to continue on state rt. 366, after stopping and accelerating to 50 miles an hour the truck just stalled. Was able to coast to berm of road and waited to be towed, would not start.
Cant cotrol car want to lunge forward or stall hard to drive like this I am told it is the (etb) also door will not stop chiming.
