Two problems related to power steering fluid have been reported for the 1996 Ford Taurus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The power steering fluid had leaked out. Fluid is coming from tubbing that's rubbing against the undercarriage of vehicle. This had caused a pin hole in tube. Also, steering was making grinding noise when turned. Have not been to dealer yet.
When turning vehicle to the right and returning, vehicle makes noises and vibrates. Dealer says steering filter hose and power steering gear short assembly needs to be replaced.
