3 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2013 Ford Taurus

Failure Date: 03/14/2020

My car had a hard start and rough idle. 02 sensors were ordered because if the code it was giving off. Days later my car threw a wench sign, only once after the car turned off it didn't show up again. The car started jerking, the rpms were jumping and the car actually shut off on me while driving. After looking up these codes this was an issue many others were having with this car and other Ford models. It has since turned on, ran for seconds, and turn off shortly after. Each time a code is ran it shows something different than it did previously.

Car cranks but will not start. Replace fuel control 5 times but when replaced this last time it will not start. It would die in traffic and I would have to try and get to the shoulder of the road to get it started again. Power steering assist failed indicator light comes on and I have no power steering. I'm very unhappy with this car. Bought it brand new and have talked with Ford motor company but they say mine is not included in recall. 111,000 miles. Help me please! fuel control module went out first time in 2017 and this month which is October makes 5 times replacing it.

6 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2013 Ford Taurus

Failure Date: 08/15/2019

Started losing steering control at highway speeds. Traction control light came on so I slowed down to control vehicle. Had it towed into dealership. Dealer said the electronic controls to steering were locked up and had to be replaced along with the pinion and rack. Dealer and Ford claim there is no recall. The below recall information from the NHTSA describes exactly what was wrong, was fixed by dealership but I was charged $2,412 to replace parts rather than download new codes to fix the issue. Summary Ford motor company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 Ford fusion vehicles without a 3. 5l engine and Lincoln mkz hybrid electric vehicles, 2011 Mercury milan vehicles, 2011-2012 Ford Taurus, Ford flex, Lincoln mks, and Lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with a 3. 5l gtdi engine and 2013 Ford Taurus, Ford flex, Lincoln mks, and Lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with any available engine. The affected vehicles have electric power steering assist systems that may shut down as a result of a steering motor sensor fault. Consequence if the vehicle experiences a loss of power steering assist, extra steering effort will be required at lower speeds, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. Remedy Ford will notify owners, and dealers will check the power steering control module (pscm) for diagnostic trouble codes (dtc). If dealers find any loss of steering assist dtcs, the steering gear will be replaced, free of charge. If, no codes are found during the pscm inspection, the pscm software will be updated, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 20, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15s18. . Read more...

9 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2013 Ford Taurus

Failure Date: 05/02/2019

The power steering went on the car. It is hard to turn at slow speed but a little better at higher speeds. Called Ford after reading about the recall and issues others with similar Ford cards had. For some reason, my car doesn't fall into the similar recall which doesn't make sense.

10 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2014 Ford Taurus

Failure Date: 05/02/2019

Sometime in March 2019 my car didnt want to start. It had been parked over night at my house. I tried to start it and it just kept turning over but no start. I called the dealership and they had it towed to the dealer. I was advised that it was the battery. I was charged about $185 to buy another battery. The car was working fine until may 2, 2019 it was parked at my place of employment and had to leave it there over night and have it towed the next morning to the dealership. The wanted to charge me $400 to get it replaced. My arguement is I could of saved $185 on a battery that didnt need replacing and 2 months later they wanted me to ditch out more money. I had to arguement with them for several hours. Till the manager said that they will take care of the cost. But it shouldnt had lead to that. I know several Ford Taurus have been recalled but not my VIN number. I dont understand why when they are all Fords Taurus 2014 and they are having the same problem. I wouldnt of spend $185 on money I dont have to spend.

15 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2015 Ford Taurus

Failure Date: 11/21/2018

In the last month and a half my car died 3 times as I was driving. All three times I was slowing down to turn and a warning sign came on saying the transmission isn't in park. After that the car completely died on me. The lights ,steering, brakes it just completely dead. I was so afraid the cars behind me would hit my car. It is in the garage now for the third time. The first time after 4 days they sent the car home and said no codes came up and they couldn't find anything wrong. A month later it happened again and they replaced the throttle body and gasket hoping it was fixed. January 4 2019 ,a Friday night it happened again and the cars behave ind me almost hit me in the back. The car starts up wright away after this happens. I am so afraid to drive this car. The first time I coasted off the busy street because I had no lights , steering or brakes. Can you imagine no lights and if I wouldn't of coasted off into a driveway I would have been hit. The garage keeps saying that my car doesn't have a recall, but there should be one on this car. My husband went with me to the garage today and he told them that he doesn't want this car back until they can guarantee it will be fixed so I am not in a terrible accident!!.

18 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2008 Ford Taurus

Failure Date: 05/23/2018

1. After being in stop and go traffic the transmission will start to slip. I try to press the gas and go nowhere, like I am stuck in 1st gear, I coast to a safe place and put the car in park start back up and it will act completely normal after that until another 3 months down the line. 2. Once in about 5/6 month I turn out into the street and the anti slip feature turns itself on and it stops me dead in my tracks. It sounds horrible, and after I release the gas it will stop. Right now the vehicle is at the shop and I really hope they can find the cause of this.

19 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2004 Ford Taurus

Failure Date: 05/01/2018

Mavis discount center worked on the car several times because the engine continues to have a slow idle and stalls out on the road. Several parts were replaced on the car including the battery, the ignition coil and idle control valve. The problem appears to be the pcm (the cars computer). The pcm is causing the car to blow several fuses breaking the electrical connection. The engine light comes on and the car shuts off.

24 Electronic Stability Control problem of the 2013 Ford Taurus

Failure Date: 01/01/2018

I I purchased this 2013 Ford Taurus sho awd twin turbo about 3 yrs ago used from the first owner so I'm the second owner. The car was in perfect condition. No accidents super clean totally loaded except no nav and screen controls for all the other cell phone apps and I even went for upgrade from sync 2 my touch w/no nav to the newest sync 3 3. 5 from a 2018 vehicle changed everything it works great. I can tell the car was taken care of by him he put very nice tsw wheels and very expensive continental contitrack tires that are abut 300. 00 a piece weathertech rain guards mats front and rear as well as the trunk. It was such a beatiful car. I bought it in the summer, when winter came all the problems started front suspension creaking struts no more back up camera working but fuzzy and upside down. And to replace it 300. 00 now and this is the kick in the ass my wife was driving with my 2 newborn twin grand daughters my 6 yr old niece as well as my 88 yr old mother just exiting off a jug handle thats how you make a left turn in the state of NJ,and it's a circle well she straight into the divider blowing out both front tires and cracking the left front rim and bending the right one. Lower front bumper valance as well as damage to the under carriage . I thank god that my family wasn't killed. I'm furious and I may be taking legal action holding Ford personally liable the recall with the steering needs t be taken care of by Ford always on its not drivable and unsafe.

After we barely made it home I just took it to get the code turned off at a mechanic shop wich was very simple , but guess what it came back everytime I got on the freeway wich is not safe .
