During a rainy day, I had water coming in from around the top driver's side windshield and from the inside light above the dash. According to my VIN there are no recalls, but apparently there have been recalls on the seal around the windshield on some. I have not had the vehicle inspected by the dealer. The problem began last month (January 2025) and each time it rains I have issues with leaking.

Dealership al packer Ford on 1530 n military trl, west palm beach FL 33409 refuse to fix the manufacturer recall number 22s20 (NHTSA recall number 22v192), they have to remove the windshield and resealed but they hire an company to do it, so the "company' went and check my windshield and they said they can not do it bc they find and crack(which I've never see) and the windshield can the windshield can collapse in the process, the dealer says they won't take care of the windshield if this happens, I called Ford but they say they won't take care of it either, that I can only resolve it with the dealer but they refuse to cover it, and it's not my fault that they used the wrong adhesive for the windshield and now they have to remove it, they recommended that I talk to my insurance but insurance won't cover it and it's crazy that they won't cover it when it's their fault, how do they know that the windshield doesn't have the crack because of the defect in the adhesive.

While driving my 2017 Ford Transit Connect at highway speed the panoramic sun roof and attached sun shade completely separated from the vehicle flew into the air and landed in the lanes of travel the vehicle behind me was nearly struck. This is an obvious safety issue had the glass struck another vehicle it would have likely caused serious damage and or injuries. The failure could have also caused serious injuries to the passengers to the vehicle had it been a partial separation with glass entering the passenger area. The vehicle is available for inspection until 15 Nov when the repairs will be completed. The vehicle was taken to Ford approximately 18 months ago for a wind noise complaint. The service department could not replicate the wind noise. My vehicle was not included in Ford's recall of the same model for sunroof adhesive failure. This was mentioned to the service department and I was told it was fine to continue to drive the vehicle. In the attached photos you can see signs of adhesive failure with pollen along the adhesive line. The only area that did not completely separate was as short section as noted in the pictures. The vehicle has been assessed by an insurance adjuster.

The vehicle receives a considerable amount of water through the windshield when it rains (it can be more than a liter depends of the time on the road) it runs down through the glass and also falls on the dash. It can cause visibility problems while driving because the water run on the the driver's side of the glass too.

The windshield was leaking at the top on my van and my friends, both 2016 Ford Transit Connect's. Passenger vans. It then popped out at the top when cleaning the inside of the windshield with a cloth, not pushing. Both of ours have now been replaced but think others should be checked. I was told by installer it could have come loose during an accident or even while driving at higher speeds on the highways. The seal, if any had been installed on the top edge, was not attached to the windshields glass. When I was at kelly Ford in melbourne florida, for a recall repair, they are the one that pushed on the glass when cleaning it after their car wash. My friend's van was also at kelly Ford where they were fixing the brakes that had locked up and failed right after she bought it. They replaced her windshield. They told me to get it fixed on my own which I did.
On going, I have pictures of multiple stages with the mileage. The wipers continue to malfunction. The car has gone in multiple times for this. The hose continues to disconnect. The rear camera, sensors, charging mechanisms malfunction. It activates the rear camera it also says parking issue and back up camera malfunction. It will happen while in motion.
Wiper motors stopped working. Before that the wipers were hitting each other making visibilty while raining very difficult.
Rear window (in the hatchback) cracked and completely broke apart when I closed the driver door after entering the vehicle. Vehicle was parked outside, had not moved/driven/been on in several hours. No signs of vandalism/impact any other interference.
My vehicle has been at a Ford dealership for more than 6 months for NHTSA campaign 20v260000 my glass is cracked. The dealership took my vehicle apart and then realized the replacement glass was broken. The dealership is unable to secure the glass to complete the recall. Ford states the glass is on indefinite backorder. Ford has proven they can not fix this vehicle recalll - I would like a buyback.
Sun visor bar internally cracked possibly from sun and causes the visor to drop down suddenly while driving, dangerously obscuring view.

Tl- the contact owns a 2016 Ford Transit Connect. The contact stated that while traveling at 60 mph, he could hear an air leak coming from the vehicle. As he continued to drive, the moon roof suddenly detached from the vehicle without warning. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over to assess the damage. The contact drove the vehicle to an independent body repair shop where he was informed that the failure was due to a manufacturer defect. The contact then took the vehicle to hansel Ford 3075 corby Ave, santa rosa, CA 95407 where the dealer agreed that the failure was caused due to a manufacturer error; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000. Jo.
Extreme windshield leak have tried to get Ford to fix. They reffed me back to the dealer. Leak all down the front around the roof. Water literally pours in and I can not drive on a rainy day. Have to car max dealer twice and they still.
1/2 of the windshield seal failed leaving the windshield unattached to the vehicle. I noticed it was loose when cleaning the inside of the windshield. The next morning I went to a glass repair shop. The manager said not to drive the vehicle around due to safety issues and take it to the dealer because the seal should not have failed within 3 years. The service manager wanted me to continue driving the vehicle around until they had an opening in appointments. I was afraid to drive it with only 1/2 of the windshield seal intact. Therefore I left it at the dealership for repairs. I am awaiting resolution to this safety issue.
The driver side back seat slider door fell right off. Onto the ground and my foot. When I went to open the door from the outside using the handle. The motor and electrical for the rear wiper have broken at least twice. The paint is spontaneously coming off of the vehicle in small spots all over.
Vehicle is equipped (standard equipment, not an option) with automatic folding side view mirrors on drivers door and passenger door. Safety fault is that vehicle can be started and driven with the vehicle in folded position. Ford dealership and Ford's customer hotline are claiming that this is normal operation of these mirrors. However, common sense dictates that a vehicle should not be able to be driven with the mirrors folded. Legally, this appears to be in violation of us dot regulation cfr 571. 111 s5. 2. 1 which relates to the field of view requirements for the outside rearview mirror - driver's side. If the mirror is folded, it does not meet that regulation. As such, the manufacturer coding of the folding system's hardware should always default to full open position when the vehicle is running or in motion. The dealership service department has indicated that there is no settings in their control related to changing or disabling the function of the automatic folding mirrors. They have seen the problem but consider it normal operation of the vehicle. The scenario to produce this problem is simply: - unlock and enter the vehicle (mirrors unfold to open position) - lock the vehicle using the button on the electronic key/fob. (mirrors fold) - start vehicle. (mirrors remain folded and will remain folded as long as vehicle is being operated) ----- if problem is specific to my vehicle, it requires repair. But it appears that problem is related to every similarly equipped vehicle of this year/model and may extend to other Ford models. If so, this requires a recall and resolution to comply with regulations and basic safety function.

We had a windshield wiper fly off while driving in a storm. When we brought it to repair shop the other wiper fell off. We did research online and showed some vehicles for that issue were recalled but ours was not. Obviously this is a defect and Ford will not pay.

As you are sitting in the driver's seat, the part of the van's body that connects the front window to the door jam is so wide that it blocks your (the driver's) view. This makes it difficult and/or impossible for the driver to see signage that's on a median and/or oncoming traffic or pedestrians. Mirrors do not solve this problem because they tell you what is in back of you and the view that is blocked is in front of you. I have gotten a ticket for making a u-turn in a no-u-turn zone and have nearly had an accident (on-coming biker) due to this problem.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Transit Connect. When driving various speeds during rainy weather conditions, the driver side windshield wiper failed to clear the windshield. As a result, the contact's vision was obstructed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician stated that the wipers were operating as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5.
2012 Ford Transit Connect. Consumer writes in regards to misleading gas mileage, radio problems, vehicle locking itself with key in the ignition while engine running and several other issues. The consumer also stated the wipers were not clearly the snow and rain from the windshield. The wipers were coming off the windshields surface. The windshield wiper fluid was freezing and the amount of heat coming from the defroster wasn't enough to handle the freezing windshield, which caused the obstruction and loss of vision.
Driving on highway I-95 on a rainy night the windshield wiper on the driver's side went off the windshield and got stuck on the driver's side rear view mirror. Extremely poor visibility! lucky that there was no accident. Was in familiar territory, so I pulled off into highway service area and moved the arm back onto the windshield. Proceeded to continue home, but driver's side arm malfunctioned twice more in less than 5 miles. Ford dealer from whom I purchased the vehicle gave me a morning appointment, and tightened the mechanism. They did not charge me other tthan for the oil change 'upsell'. But they said that they did not know anything about a recall and would not technically put this in the system as a warranty claim, because it had been a rough winter and perhaps the mechanism had been damaged while cleanng off ice or other winter wear and tear. I do not think that I ever got a recall notice about this problem. I am not happy with the dealer's explanation especially in light of the fact that a recall does exist.
Put on rear defrost back door passenger window exploded from inside the vehicle we were traveling on freeway at about 55 mph heard a loud noise no glass inside vehicle so it exploded from the inside of truck very dangerous with glass shattered big hole in glass after initial noise pop.
Turned on the wiper and washer for the rear windows and the left window blew out.
While sitting a traffic light, the defogger was turned on and the rear wiper /washer was also turned on to clean the rear windows. The right window blew outward in the center.
While driving in the down pouring rain the vehicle wipers came off causing me to have to come to a sudden stop.
Winter driving very hazardous, windshield washer fluid resevoir fluid freezes in cold weather. Salt build-up on windshield causes very serious visibility problem, forcing driver off the road to hand wash windshield. Location of resivior is the problem I believe. . . . . . . . . . . .

On a longer trip in my new Ford Transit Connect, I noticed reflections of the outward-facing dashboard and grill on the lower half of the windshield. Sometimes it was there, sometimes not. I checked the owners manual which mentioned "tempory shimmering" while the windshield warmed up. I did not realize until after a crash how much these reflections interfered with the driver's road visibility. The reflections come about when light shines on the windshield from the front or sides, but not from the back. Now that I know what's going on, I see how dangerous such windshields are, and the cars should be recalled and non-reflective windshields installed.
Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Ford Transit Connect. The contact stated that the windshield failed while driving in rainy weather. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact that the 2010 Ford Transit Connect was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 12v374000 (visibility: windshield wiper/washer) and denied assistance with the repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 120,000. Kmj.
Safety recall notice 12s36/NHTSA recall 12v-374. While at my dealership mac haik Ford, 7201 s ih35. Georgetown TX on 8/6/12, I was notified of this safety recall for my windshield wipers at which time the part(s) were ordered for this repair. My last communication with my dealership was yesterday, Wednesday 9/12/12 and their response: "still on back order". This is upsetting as I have been told that my windshield wipers could cease to work at any time and today it is raining and I was unable to run necessary errands as I did not feel comfortable in driving in the rain with such faulty equipment. I would appreciate your attention, or someone's attention to this matter.
