One problem related to strut failure has been reported for the 1996 Ford Windstar. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Left and right side strut bushings failed, causing a potentially dangerous situation to exist in the front end. My mechanic informed me that this is a very common problem with Fords. If so, I feel that the whole system should be replaced by the manufacturer. Otherwise, I should be reimbursed for the rewelding of the bushings ($100. 00).
