Three problems related to air bag have been reported for the 1999 Ford Windstar. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Avoid the deer and slid off road and hit a trees. The air bags on both sides did not release. The speed that this happen was at 40mph. The vehicle has $8600 damage to it. The seatbelt was being used, but the air bags I believe should of still worked.
Vehicle has experienced a problem with activating the horn when needed. Dealer notified, and informed consumer that all 99 models have the same design and meet fmvss specifications. The problem was due to air bag in horn and fixing it is presently not possible.
When it rains srs light illuminates while driving, causing airbags to be inoperable. Dealer has inspected vehicle.
