Check engine light, codes read p0171 (lean bank 1). Followed repair procedure per Ford TSB 03-16-1 (replace isolator bolts and port seals under upper intake manifold). Also replaced vacuum line from fuel pressure regulator to intake manifold.

: the contact stated gas and fumes leaked consistently while the vehicle was in motion or parked. The fuel filter was replaced, but that did not remedy the problem. There was a NHTSA recall #00v164000 regarding fuel system, gasoline:delivery. The dealer was contacted and determined that the vehicle was not included in the recall due to the VIN. The vehicle had not been repaired.

Car emissions light came on. Then when filling up, gas backs up and spews out past nozzle. Can't get car to accept gas.
00 v 164 000/fuel line fittings: while re-fueling the vehicle, the consumer noticed fuel leaking from the filler neck. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer located a rubber fuel line that was deteriorating and the vehicle was not covered under that recall.
Consumer was smelling gas and noticed a big puddle of gas in driveway. Consumer feels this very dangerous. Please provide any further information.

Fuel leaking from vehicle. Dealer determined a clamp was missing on fuel line, causing it to come off and leak fuel. Dealer stated clamp had been omitted at the factory.
Problem area: wiring in gas tank-- the hose clamp inside gas tank has rubbed through the wires which power the electric pump. This caused to blow the fuse for the gas pump. *note-possible electric arc inside the gas tank.

Consumer is having problems with fuel lines. Fuel lines are wrapped which is causing fuel to leak. Has not contacted dealer.

Recall number 00v164000-fuel line fittings. Recall repairs were not preformed, and vehicle was still experiencing the problem. Consumer stated the transmission is also bad, there is a bad vibration, also there is a heavy pull to the right.
Have complained several times to dealer while van is in for service, that I smell gas by left rear wheel well and fuel filler door. The shop claims no leaks found with electronic sniffer. Gas smell strongest when tank is 3/4 full or more. Problem has been around since 1998. No visible signs of leakage.
