I bought a 99 winstarr a few months ago and just recently the instrument cluster started dancing, and there is no power t the radio or the cigarette lighter underneath it. I also sprung a trans leak and fixed it but the car sputters then shuts off and I have to restart it.

2 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2001 Ford Windstar

Failure Date: 10/30/2003

While driving consumer smelled a burning aroma. The smell was coming from inside of the vehicle. Consumer pulled over to investigate the smell, and noticed that the rear passenger door speaker was on fire. Consumer was able to put out the fire.

3 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2000 Ford Windstar

The contact stated the interior lights, power windows, radio, and heater would stay on after the ignition was turned off and the key is removed. The fuse has to be removed every time the vehicle is turned off. He found recall 00v351000 on line concerning this problem. When he contacted the dealer , they said that this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN. Also there was a problem with the cruise control. The off switch for cruise control did not work. The cruise control could only be turned off by applying the brakes.

4 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 1999 Ford Windstar

Power steering under carridge wentout which taken the power steering to the wheel. Vehicle is at the dealership waiting for parts. The stereo system failed. Brake makes grinding noise. The rear door light keeps falling down whenever the door closed.

5 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 1998 Ford Windstar

Failure Date: 11/01/1998

When radio on, electrical noise exists when lights are on. Noise changes pitch, volume, and phase when dimmer switch is rotated. Dealer claims it's normal. Additional electrical noise given these conditions and which is in sync with transmission has been corrected by dealer. Problem does not exist with installation of non-Ford radio.
