3 Visibility problem of the 2007 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 01/31/2013

I have owned this car for about a year and since I have owned it have had nothing but problems. First the struts were blown, the dash lights would go from bright to dim, the steering wheel made a clicking noise, the windows leak. . . This car only has 41,000 miles I mean come on! now the transmission has completely failed and after reading other websites it sounds like I will be paying $4,000 dollars. I am a new mom and have 3 step kids. I can't feel safe in my car because I'm worried about it breaking down constantly. Now I have to dump all this money that I don't have into it. I really just want to cut my losses, but is that really the best thing to do? I'm stuck with this junker car and I couldn't feel more sorry for all these other people having the same issues. I'm absolutely miserable. Thanks GMC you suck.

5 Visibility problem of the 2009 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 09/06/2011

I entered approximate date that I first reported to the dealership the condition of the leather seats. The leather seats are pealing. The sun visor broke off from the mirror. The console was pealing. I reported these before that time, but had to wait until the gentleman at the dealership was available. I was not pleased with the way he treated me. He acted as if I was not Smart in reference to my problems and was blaming it on wear and tear. Also I now have a headlight that has moisture in it. The dealership checked it for leaks and none were found, so how does that happen. I just had recall on light, but was inside the light. Now this is how I feel about that. It is me and my granddaughter and she was 12 when I purchased the vehicle. We used it for day to day travels and traveling. I have been and continue to be very careful and so does my granddaughter, with the way we take care of this vehicle. I am so disappointed in the fact that it was not taken care of properly. I never heard from the district representative regarding these problems and he told me she/he would get with me. GMC contacted me and the dealer several times and now it is still the same. GMC has really failed in their job in working with customers with problems.

6 Visibility problem of the 2008 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 04/01/2009

This is in regards to the window seal on the driver and passenger window. It holds water in the seal and has a very strong offensive mold/mildew odor. Each time you roll down either window the smell is so strong that your allergies are immediately affected. I don't think it is healthy to constantly smell mold when you're driving your vehicle. I took it to the dealer a couple of times and they agreed that it was horrible, but only suggested that I take an air hose and blow out the trapped water. That doesn't work because each time it rains or you wash your vehicle it smells again. I hate driving a newer vehicle that smells like a molded trash container. I would like a better solution for this never ending problem.

The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on seven separate occasions for identical failures, but there were no resolutions. The contact stated that if the moisture issue remained uncorrected, mold could form in the vehicle. The vehicle is currently at an authorized dealer for repair. 9 Visibility problem of the 2008 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 07/15/2008

The side view mirror on the driver's side has not worked properly for at least six months. The dealer from whom the car was purchased has gone out or business and I took it to a dealer in delray beach, FL. On January 9th the dealer found the problem and ordered a new switch. It has not been received, to date. The dealer maintains that gm has the part on back order and can find none available anywhere in the u. S. This is clearly a safety hazard as the mirror cannot be adjusted to see on-coming traffic on the driver's side.
