2014 GMC Acadia went abruptly into what they call limp mode. The engine lost power, with a massive shutter throughout the vehicle, numerous warning lights on dash, saying reduced power, low voltage, traction control/stability control and check engine light. I have done some online research and seems to be a big issue for the Acadia! a recall to general motors is in order so all these safety issues get addressed as soon as possible. There are stories that the dealers have fixed them but a week or two later the issues returned. Please help us.

Air bag warning light is on. The light stays on all the time.
Stability track warning light keeps coming on I was told by my mechanic that it could be the sensor so I had it replaced with a factory brand GMC sensor and I'm still having the same problem. Also my passenger side air bag keeps saying it needs to be serviced but it's never been deployed and no one has an answer for why this warning keeps coming up the stability track warning comes on as I'm driving every time after about 10 to 15 minutes and the passenger side air bag warning comes on as soon as I start the vehicle engine. And also I have a problem with code p0700 it keeps turning on my check engine light and I had it fixed but it still keeps turning on . Rattling noise in idle.

Service air bags light came on. Occasionally service traction control light comes on and traction control turns off and back on while driving when traction control returns warning light disappears. Service air bag light came on while driving and has not came off. All of the above happened on a highway going no faster than 55mph dry conditions. Vehicle has not been in an accident while owned by current owner.
My "service air bag" light and warning came on and we took it to a mechanic who stated it is the wiring under my drivers seat causing the warning light. The light first came on a few days ago when I turned my car on and we have since discovered the light will go on and off if I move my drivers seat forward and back, but this is a temporary fix as the warning light stays on in the seat position I need to keep it in for driving. This is the same issue as the recalled 2008-2013 GMC Acadia. Mine is a 2014 and not a part of the official recall, but clearly this is the same issue and needs to be recalled and repaired at the expense of gm.
Airbag wiring short repaired under NHTSA recall 14v118 on sept 30, 2014. Next airbag warning light goes on August 2019. Repair by dealer reveled a short in the same wiring that was originally recalled. Dealer corrected airbag wiring short but dealer and GMC refused to honor original recall stating that this recall was only for one repair. I had to pay out of pocket to keep airbags functioning even though it is the same issue that was re-called.
On Saturday evening August 3, 2019 my wife, who was driving our 2014 GMC Acadia, reported to me that a red air bag warning light and the message "service air bag" came on and remained on while driving. On Sunday August 4, the warning light and message went off during the day when I was driving the vehicle, but later came on when my wife drove the vehicle during the evening. On Monday August 5 while I was driving the Acadia, both the warning light and message "service air bag" came on and stayed on while driving. On Monday August 5 I drove the Acadia to a gm dealership as soon as it opened. The dealership said there were two diagnosis codes for two separate failures relating to the air bags. The first was code b0022 (which the dealership said was related to a wiring failure). The dealership advised this failure code of b0022 was covered under warranty pursuant to gm special coverage adjustment number 15804. The dealership said that the second diagnosis code was b0058 (which the dealership said was a failed sensor). The dealership said that both of these problems needed to be fixed in order for the airbags to work. The dealership said, however, that replacement of the sensor was not covered under adjustment 15804. The dealership did offer a discounted charge for replacement of the failed sensor and as of this writing the vehicle remains at the dealership to make all repairs necessary for the air bags to work. I have advised the dealership of my intention to report the sensor failure issue to ntsb so that ntsb and gm are aware of it. I have also reported the above to gm customer assistance and am awaiting a return call from a "senior advisor". I have also requested that gm cover all costs relating to the sensor failure as well as the wiring failure as I have been informed by the dealership that both relate to the failure of the air bag system.
The passenger side seatbelt warning chimed to indicate a passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and the passenger airbag on/off light toggled back and forth when no passenger was in the car in the seat. This resolved spontaneously by the next day, now the service airbag soon notice and warning light is lit up on the dashboard. The car has not been in any accident that would cause the airbag to deploy or activate. I see that a previous recall was announced in 2014 for the 2009-2013 models of GMC Acadia, but my specific Acadia is a 2014 model. There are no active recalls listed for my vehicle, however an airbag malfunction is a serious concern for GMC Acadia owners. This issue just started and I have not visited a dealer yet.
Air bag warning light in the display intermittently comes on and remains on for several days to several weeks then clears for a period of time then repeats. Have not been able to replicate the issue when presenting for diagnostic repairs.

Takata recall my airbag warning light remains on just as all of the other gbmc 2008 models that were recalled but according to my VIN my car is not included in the recall.
"takata recall" - I have a service air bag warning light which stays lit.
The contact owns a 2012 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that three days after the vehicle was purchased, the contact was unable to start the vehicle. The contact also stated that the check engine warning light later illuminated. The vehicle was taken to kindle auto plaza Ford (523 stone harbor blvd, cape may court, (609) 465-5000), where the starter, the timing chain and the transmission were replaced. Additionally, the air bag sensor light illuminated while driving at an unknown speed. The vehicle was taking to the same dealer, where the front passenger's air bag sensor was replaced. The sensor failure recurred several times and the dealer referred the contact to the NHTSA. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. I have an airbag warning light on and and a message on the display. Took to dealer and the said they already performed the recall that was on the vehicle and wanted to charge me $675 to open up the dash and see what is wrong. The code that comes up is too high resistance in airbag system. I am filing this complaint for two reasons, one is how do I know they actually performed the procedure in the first place and,two can't it be defective again. My concern is safety in nature that my airbag won't open in an accident.

Vehicle was stationary and in motion display read airbag malfunction warning light. Took vehicle to randy marion GMC in huntersville, nc to be fixed. Electrical connecter problem "due to corrosion " was "fixed" only to have error light come on again 24hrs later. This is a new vehicle with only 24,000 miles on it and is garage kept. Randy marion gave is a loaner vehicle and was going to order new connectors for the airbag. We dropped truck off on Saturday, December 12th and finally had it returned to us the following Friday afternoon, December 18th "fixed again. " this morning, driving family to the store, my father-in-law said that his seat was not stable. We discovered seat was not bolted down and returned truck back to randy marion Buick-GMC. Service manager apologized and said it was an oversight and not bolting the seat back down. Waiting to get our truck back in working a safe condition. Terrible!!!.

Air bag warning light (passenger side) stays on. Initially light would stay on for a few moments. Gradually within a few days it became constant. Gm dealer says it's a sensor affecting air bag deployment in crash. Dealer wants more than $800. 00 to replace sensor.

For several months, the front passenger air bag warning light would illuminate, and the message center would display 'check air bag'. Two weeks ago, it became not intermittent, but constant. I took the car to my GMC dealer and was told $735 repair - air bag passenger pressure module needs replacing. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of the same problem reported on various internet site, blogs etc. Gm has a supplier problem with this part, and it needs to be investigated. I purchased this vehicle new and have countless problems with this vehicle.
For two weeks leading up to the 3/27/14 incident, every time we started the car the air would not come on and we would have to manually turn the air on. When we turned the car off, the air would stay on. Two weeks later, when I was operating the vehicle, the gauges on the instrument panel started going haywire displaying dozens of messages, and the all of the gauges would shoot up, then bottom out at 0, then shoot up again, etc. . I turned the car off, and when I came back later to start it, the car wouldn't start but the electrical stuff came on. After several attempts to get the car to start, I roll down my windows and then try it again, and the car started. I drove it straight to the dealership. The dealership replaced the body control module and some wires and said they fixed the problem. Less than 48 hours later, the same thing with the gauges and warning lights happened. We immediately sent an email to the service department since it was the weekend and they were closed. On Monday, the car died again, but the radio kept coming on/off. . . . I fiddled with the radio and the car started. I drove it straight to the dealership. They can't get the car to "mess up" again, and are waiting for it to do the same thing it did for me, so they can figure out how to fix it. I am concerned that the car is showing significant electrical problems that include safety equipment, yet GMC is ready to turn the car back on the road. Note: all recalls are up to date and the dealer has been in communication with GMC.

Seat beat sensor warning light comes on at start-up. Goes off and on when moving. The patterns are unpredictable. Sometimes it consistently turns on and off. Other times it may not display at all. I did discover a recall related to this model - recall id # 47176, effective Feb 21, 2007. The local dealer however reported my model is not covered.
Problem #1 of 3: during heavy rains, water would leak in through the sun visors on both sides. Took it to the dealership several times. They said the drain tubes from the sunroof were clogged, they blew it out, when that didn't work, they charged me to put it longer tubes, when that didn't work, they said it was because they only replaced the front tubes, not the back. Problem #2 of 3: when driving through water puddles at low speed I lose power steering for a brief time (which is troublesome when turning). Problem #3 of 3: two warning lights for airbags come on everytime I start the vehicle. I can push a button each time to make the written warning go away, but the red light with a picture stays on. Not sure if the airbags would deploy or not.

Had to wait to give my daughter a ride. Sat in the pouring rain for about 40 minutes. Put the car in drive and began to pull forward and water poured down the windshield from the inside. Water also came in from the front left curtain airbag and the visor arm. Engine began to idle rough. Anti-lock brakes grab on low speed slow down. Our area of texas is drought prone so no more significant rain until July 14-16. Water pours in the front windshield, both driver and passenger side. Water from curtain airbags and under the dash. Standing water in the floor board. Obd light is on and my parking break warning light turns on and off. Park assist goes on and off. The warning chime comes on while driving and won't turn off. No telling how much damage all of this will cause. I have one more payment until the thing is mine free and clear. No warranty and no recourse. It figures.
