Cruise Control problems of the 2002 GMC Envoy

Four problems related to cruise control have been reported for the 2002 GMC Envoy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2011

I bought the car used Feb. 2011 about March 2011 sometimes when it is started (no specific start time) the check engine light will be on (not always) and the car will die while driving approximately 25 to 35 miles per hour. This is not a all the time problem, and I cannot find a reason why some days it does this and some days it doesn't. Also sometimes the cruise control works and sometimes it doesn't. . Also sometimes the wipers stop in mid swipe.

2 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 11/04/2004

While driving 73 mph with cruise control on headlights will shut off. Consumer was able to restart the vehicle and corrected the problem. Dealership was notified.

3 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 09/10/2004

The cruise control was set to 55 mph vehicle lurched forward and then rolled over. The consumer sustained minor injuries. The vehicle was towed. The dealership will be notified.

4 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 05/25/2002

Air conditioning system failure at 7,000 miles : vehicle computer related emission control system failure / damaged components at 12,000 miles stabilizer bar link failures complete dashboard gauge cluster failure rear brake deterioration, heavy brake damage passenger side mirror loss of control power steering pump failure transmission module/ fwd failure battery failure cruise control failure valve lifter tapping emergency brake failure seat belt shoulder restraint lockup, passenger side.
