3 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 03/27/2006

I have had a intermittent rumbling sound in the drivers compartment like the doors are not closed properly. I have checked doors closed but yet it still happens. Took back to dealership and they could not find a problem. The fuel gauge is reading incorrectly, at a half a tank of fuel the gas hand will intermittently move up or down. Also Nov. 2006 a high pitch squeal from the front of vehicle while driving between 1 and 40 mph.

4 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2006

Rear door latches seize and do not latch the door closed. Intermittent problems with all the door latches in this vehicle occurs from time to time.

5 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 09/20/2005

In a matter of one weeks time we had 2 door locks fail on the passenger doors of our GMC Envoy xl. The latch that closes the door failed and one of the doors opened while driving the car. I had the first latch on the passenger rear door replaced on September 20th and the same thing happened with the driver side rear door on September 25, 2005. This time I was not driving just putting my child in his car seat and the door would not close. I am talking with gm about this problem because the dealership told me they have changed quite a few of these. This is a major safety issue and needs to be a recalled item. I only had the car 3 years and a part that can cause such a deadly consequence should not wear out. This needs to be investigated.

6 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 07/12/2004

Rear passenger side door was defective and was replaced at least 3 times. Since the last repair the door lock was defective again. Consumer took the vehicle back to the dealer for the same repair. Currently, passenger's rear door was defective as well.

7 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2004

The vehicle's rear passenger side lock broke without warning. As a result, the door would not close and owner had to tape it shut. The cause has yet to be determined.

8 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 05/12/2004

The has been concerned about the facted that both rear doors have intermittently flew open on different occasions when making a turn, even when the child proof lock was activated. Vehicle was taken to the dealer and both doors were corrected.

9 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2003

Transmission does not work properly. Have had it repaired twice, but still vibrates, and fails to move vehicle forward at times, from a dead stop. Is very dangerous at intersections where moving quickly is imperative. Also wiring problems which operate various remote instruments (mirrors, seats, etc. ) fear of fire. Rear door latch was replaced - clicks "locked/unlocked" while driving. Seats move on their own while driving.

10 Door Latch problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2002

All 4 doors unlocked without warning. Problem occurred most when the temperature was cold.
