Two problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 2004 GMC Envoy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The seat belt was always on so I have to replace the both impactor sensor.
The electrical component for the airbag sensor is located under the drink cup holder. . Due to the location of the sensor the sensor gets wet and creates a safety issue by not deploying the air bags when needed. . I took my car in to the GMC dealer and was told it was not a recall issue, I was shocked because the mechanic told me it was a safety issue and they had a lot of these issues but GMC decided it was not a safety recall issue. .
