6 Seats problem of the 2007 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 01/01/2017

Tl the contact owns a 2007 GMC Envoy. While driving various speeds, the service stabilitrak warning indicator periodically illuminated. Also, the stabilitrak active indicator periodically illuminated, which caused the vehicle to stall. When the contact released and re-applied the accelerator pedal, the stabilitrak deactivated and the vehicle functioned normally. Occasionally, when the brake pedal was depressed, the brake pedal vibrated violently and the vehicle hesitated to stop. When the vehicle was stationary and the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle accelerated forward. Furthermore, the driver's seat was unable to move forward. When attempting to adjust the seat manually or with the power position adjuster, the seat failed to adjust until after a period of time. The vehicle was taken to bowser Buick GMC (1001 clairton blvd, pleasant hills, PA 15236, (412) 346-7929) where the contact was informed that the driver's door module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 90,000.

7 Seats problem of the 2004 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 02/19/2016

My GMC Envoy was parked unattended in my driveway directly next to my house. My sons and I were in the backyard playing when my oldest son went to retrieve his ball from the driveway. He came back screaming mom your truck is on fire. I immediately ran over to see the truck full of fire and smoke. I called 911. The truck damage was already done before the firefighters arrived. It appeared to come from the driver side window area. After doing some research I learned a lot of GMC trucks had recalls on certain parts that could put the vehicle at risk for a for setting it's self on fire. I never received any information on recalls for the window switch or was aware of the national recall until I looked into it the evening of the fire. I strongly believe the window switch is what caused the fire. It had to be a defective product made by the manufacturing company.

9 Seats problem of the 2002 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 03/08/2014

A day after replacing the battery, while driving, the driver seat started readjusting and heating on its own so I turned on air conditioner to compensate since I had no idea what to do about the seat while driving. When I did, rear passengers said the rear vents started blowing heat, and a strange clicking noise was heard in the right rear panel, so I shut off the air, opened the windows and clicking and heat subsided. However, the drivers seat continued to readjust and heat throughout my trip and the right rear window had to be pushed up manually once stopped because the electric opener for that window was no longer working.

On June 8 2013 both the driver and passenger seat power adjustments ceased to operate or respond in any way. Both seat stuck in a full back position. The next day, June 9 2013, the vehicle was at idle and in park for no more than 4 or 5 minutes, when an odd smell was noticed. A small electrical fire to include sparks and a lot of smoke then erupted under the passenger seat. The driver turned the vehicle off, and the passenger and 18 month old child, and driver all exited the vehicle. The fire died, and the smoke cleared. Waited 15 minutes, restarted the vehicle with no problems. The vehicle was dropped off the next day, June 10 2013, a chevy dealership. The vehicle is currently under diagnoses.

Out of nowhere my front head lights went out. Its not the fuse or the bulbs, both front low lights went out. The high beams work. There is no power going to the lights and I have to buy a new switch. I also had to replace the engine almost a year ago because the o rings went up. The gas gauge is broken and my passenger window will not go down. I feel so stuck with this car!.

13 Seats problem of the 2007 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 05/09/2007

I bought a 2007 Envoy 10 March 2007. When the weather got warm I tried to use my ac. This is a brand new vehicle with less than 5,000 miles and the ac didn't work. I took it in for service and was told it was fixed. When we went on a trip and arrived in FL and it heated up, the ac didn't work. The first time it was repaired I was told it was a sensor. The next two times they replaced the compressor. The first time it was cool when we left and I tried the ac and it was cold. I had to take it in 3 times before it worked correctly. Now it is getting hot again and I think I am going to have the same problem. It is only 70 and my 1997 chevy cavalier cools better than my 2007 Envoy. I have had several other problems with this vehicle that have only recently been resolved. Each time I took it in I was told they could not duplicate the problem. I had a leak in the rear compartment, the drivers seat would not adjust sometimes and the stabilitrak constantly gave me a service light. This vehicle is only 1 year old.

14 Seats problem of the 2005 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 01/01/2007

Repeat problems since car was purchased brand new at dealers. Air /O2 sensors defective/replaced. Defective fuel pump/fuel sensor/electronic gas gauge; flickering/dimming headlights; freezing/inability to control driver's side seat and controls. 1/4 of front instrument panel lights out; drivers side seat control lighting 1/4 out; check engine light and low fuel light on continuously since 1997. Tie rods both replaced as well as both front sway bars. Immediately following vehicle purchase, check engine light would continuously go off. I would call onstar at which point I was told to take car in for repair w/I 7-10 days (often told a problem w/powertrain or transmission) . At dealers service dept, told over and over again after tons of worry, concern and time spent, that electrical system on this car tends to trip/trigger check engine light and they would just reset it so after awhile, I began to disregard the light as I was in the dealership almost weekly. Approx 2 yrs after purchase, filled up gas tank and fuel light showed "low fuel". Went back up to full, dropped to 1/2 and back to empty. Went back to full after car was turned off and continued to do this. After about 2 weeks, constantly stays at empty. Called repair shop and was told approx $700-800 to drop tank and replace fuel sensor which I could not afford and began to track odometer and refill tank after 200 miles driven after fill up. Have been doing this for 5 years. Jan 29,2011, I go for emission test. Fail d/t low fuel and check engine light being on. Go to mechanic, approx $950 repair. Check engine light goes off. . . And back on next day. Read thousands of posts online and am finding many, many Envoy owners experiencing same problems as mine. These are safety issues and gm should issue a recall on entire fuel and electrical system. Please call for questions/clarification.

15 Seats problem of the 2005 GMC Envoy

2005 GMC Envoy has developed multiple problems. The driver side front seat side cover was coming off and the passenger side front window was inoperative. Both issues were recurrent.

16 Seats problem of the 2003 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 02/01/2005

Safety problem regarding control of driver's rear view mirror on 2003 GMC Envoy. There had been a strange combination of electrical events centered around the accessories in the left front of the vehicle and the left door mirror. Other problems: the seat would move erratically when starting and shutting down, the driver's side door did not lock in sync with the others, the locks would click 4 times after driving one mile, and the control button lights on the drivers arm rest was coming off.

17 Seats problem of the 2004 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 09/01/2004

Engine, check gadges light appears, SUV stalls, radio lights and steering lights keeps failing. I have taken my 04 Envoyxl into the dealership over 7 times for the same problem in which they have not yet been able to fix/resolve. My Envoyxl check engine and check gadges lights keep popping on and the vehicle continues to cut off/stall the dealership has not yet fixed the problem, I have taken the SUV in over 6 times for this problem. From 2004 until now 2007 the problem continues. The lights on the dash board keeps going out. They have replaced the lights at least 2 or 3 times but they keep going out. These lights are on the radio part, the buttons which operate the radio and switches the station. The panels seems to get very hot. The lights are currently out now after being replaced 3 times and now the vehicle is out of warranty. The paint on the SUV is very dull and the leather on the 2nd row seat is cracking, completely worn and very cheap. I complained to the dealership 1 year after I purchased the vehicle that the leather is worn out too fast, nothing was done about the 2nd row leather seats. The paint on the exterior is dull and spotty, I complained to the dealership before the 36,000 mile warranty expired and nothing was done about the paint either. This SUV is a lemon, it continues to cut off although many attempts has been made to repair the problem, I think they should buy this vehicle back since it can't be fixed. There is a defect in the electrical system since these lights on the instrument panel continues to wear out very fast and the radio had to be replaced already but the lights continues to blow out on the instrument panel and the steering wheel which also controls the radio and other components.

18 Seats problem of the 2002 GMC Envoy

Failure Date: 02/05/2003

Transmission does not work properly. Have had it repaired twice, but still vibrates, and fails to move vehicle forward at times, from a dead stop. Is very dangerous at intersections where moving quickly is imperative. Also wiring problems which operate various remote instruments (mirrors, seats, etc. ) fear of fire. Rear door latch was replaced - clicks "locked/unlocked" while driving. Seats move on their own while driving.
