One problem related to cooling fan has been reported for the 1996 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Fan clutch separated at hub. Two bolts were sheared off and two others had almost completely backed out. The clutch pulley had loosened and the serpentine belt had come off. Complete lose of power steering, cooling, alternator etc. Without power steer.
