Two problems related to driveshaft have been reported for the 1996 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brake pedal went to floor, pumped brakes, returned to normal. Further down road, pedal again went to floor, vehicle spun around, could have caused crash, according to dealer, water got into brake line; also all wheel driveshaft locked, causing front tires to lock up. Consumer states tires locked up about 4 or 5 times which caused vehicle to veer from lane to lane.
Consumer states that there is a strong vibration when the vehicle is driven at (65) mph. Not sure if the problem is coming from the tires or the drivetrain.
