Two problems related to steering idler arm have been reported for the 1998 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Premature failure of upper ball joint. Dealer has replaced ball joints , also, pitman and idler arm failed.
When making a turn vehicle would pull to either the left or the right. Dealer has replaced sway bar/ idle arm and hubs on front end. However, problem still exists. Manufacturer has been contacted. Please provide further information.
