Two problems related to steering linkages have been reported for the 1998 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Premature failure of upper ball joint. Dealer has replaced ball joints , also, pitman and idler arm failed.
Failed wheel bearing and loose pittman arm - both were replaced.
