One problem related to power train driveline has been reported for the 1999 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2/2003 front end collapsed on highway travelling at 65mpg due to ball joint failure. Brakes and sterring would not work. Had to crash into a hill to stop vehicle. Ball joints again failing on 7/2005.
