Front Suspension Problems of GMC Jimmy

The contact owns a 2001 GMC Jimmy. While driving approximately 50 mph, the contact heard a loud, abnormal bang. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the contact was told that the front axle fractured. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 85,000.

There are several recalls out on my model of vehicle in which my vehicle has the same symptoms but when I run a check on the year VIN it comes back with no recalls. How can I make sure that my repairs should be covered under the recalls.

Consumer stated while driving vehicle suddenly accelerated. At the same time was hit at passenger's side by another vehicle, and neither of the air bags deployed. Consumer lost the memory, and did not remember too much about the accident, how it happened.

Vehicle constantly pulls to the right. Has pulled to the right since bought. According to other complaints, alignment will not fix problem either.

The dealer knew about the defects to this vehicle and refused to fix them after receiving 3 separate estimates. 2 days after I repeatedly went back to the dealership to report these safety hazards the dealer continued to refuse to fix the problems and I had a car accident due to the defective vehicle. The dealer compliance board has a current case against the dealer and he has only agreed to take his vehicle back. The dealer has requested the damage from the motor vehicle accident not be fixed by the insurance company. The damage prior to the sale was so extensive from water or flood damage that the engine is completely ruined. It will not pass emissions. My fear is that the next unsuspecting consumer will be deceived by this dealer and this vehicle and I believe the next person will not be as lucky. I should be dead right now. The airbag never deployed and I believe it should have, which may also indicate that their is also something wrong with the airbag system. There may not even be an air bag in this vehicle even though it states there is one. This dealer will get this vehicle back and I am sure that instead of selling it as a salvage vehicle he will again slap a price tag on it and re-sell it immediately without fixing it. Dt.

1997 GMC Jimmy battery drain. After vehicle sits for a couple hours it will not start. Has new (not rebuilt) alternator, starter, battery. Still won't start most of the time. Battery drains completely if vehicle sits overnight. As soon as I jump the vehicle, it starts immediately. Nothing I do will help. Vehicle has done this for8years and I can't fix it so I don't even put license it anymore. I can't sell it because nobody wants a broke down car. It still looks and drives great. I would like gm to fix it. There are also other things that appear to be factory defaults like front suspension and more I won't go into now.

This car has continually had transmission problems. I have also stopped in the dealer on 2 separate times about the transmission. The mechanic hooked up a computer to see the problem. I was never given a work order sheet for those 2 times. It has also been recalled for seat belts & ignition switch. Mr.

Spiratic popping in front end of vehicle while breaking, turning, and accelerating. Vehicle in service dept for 5th time right now. Service does not know how to correct the problem. Filling lemon law papers within the week.

2000 Jimmy has had noise and vibration in front end since it had 4900 miles on it. Repeated complaints to the dealer but they "could not duplicate" the problem, so nothing's been done. Sounds like the driver's side front wheel is going to fall off, and vibration is felt in steering wheel, seat and floor.

Steering pulls to the right all the time, have had checked many times, no answers. Can someone help with this problem. Have seen many complaints on this problem!.

Vehicle wnaders off road/steering feels spongy/sluggish and stuck engine valve, causing engine to clatter.

Right front wheel separated from vehicle. Dealer has repaired the vehicle.

Front suspension constantly pulls to the right, dealer adjusted caster which improved but did not correct the pulling. Nlm.

Sporadic popping sound in front end of vehicle when breaking, turning, and at take off. 5 times to dealer problem still not corrected.
