One problem related to electrical failure has been reported for the 1997 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Battery is leaking acid from the positive terminal area causing corrosion. This condition could cause electrical or brake failure. This is the 2nd 1997 gm product with a delco battery I have seen with this condition.
