Two problems related to air brake abs warning light have been reported for the 1999 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Abs and brake light are on. Had problem diagnosed by dealer and was told truck needed a new ebcm (electronic brake control module). Part alone is $800. 00 plus tax and labor. Got on a GMC truck owners website and found many other owners with the same problem.
The vehicles abs motor continued to run after the vehicle was turned off. Ph.
