Pe00 020; consumer was traveling about 70mph on highway and heard a noise. Was able to pull over to shoulder, and noticed that rear passenger's side tire tread came off, and damaged vehicle. Firestone, steel tex, lt245 75r16 . There were no injuries.
Consumer has 99 GMC Sierra. Original tires with approximately 27,000 miles. Driver's front tire tread separated. Tire size p265/75r16 & dot unknown. The tire was making a thumping sound.

Veh#1 had a blow out & rain in to the ditch. 1 vehicle accident. Insured vehicle total loss. Front tire (firestone steeltex a/t #lt245/75r16) blew out causing accident. (claim# 18-0410-558).
Pe00020; original equipment 1999, GMC Sierra, tire size p265/75r16, passenger front tire sidewall blewout from inner sidewall which caused major damage.
Tire blew causing damage to rim. Firestone wilderness at. Tire listed in wall street journal on 8/7. (claim# 13-7027-790).
Two of the five p25570r16 ameri 660 as general tires have failed, the first one went flat while the truck was parked, the tire could not be repaired, the dealer replaced the tire at no cost to the owner. On 10/11/00, while traveling about 75 mph, the second tire blew out, driver was able to control the truck and did not crash. Three of the four remaining tires have cracks in the areas between the raised tread. Owner replaced all four tires and is seeking reimbursement.
Consumer had 2 tire belts separated, one at 25000 and one at 1500 miles (firestone wilderness at 265-75r16 dotw273wma170). Nlm.
Pe-00-020; original equipment on a 1999 GMC, Sierra, tire size p265/75r16, dot # w273wma109. Tires had 18 thousand miles on them. Consumer has noted two frontal driver and passenger side tires were showing evidence of tread separation at the side wall, consumer is able to peel the tread backwards about a inch. Tires have been replaced with another brand. There are places the size of my finger nail that peal back to show white nylon under the black rubber sidewalls.
Both front tires suffered tread separation, replacements developed side wall splits also requiring replacement.
