Transmission Gear Slipping problems of the 2000 GMC Sierra

Three problems related to transmission gear slipping have been reported for the 2000 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2001

The transmission slipped multiple times and accelerated very slowly. Dealer notified.

2 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2000

The accelerator had stuck, the transmission slipped, the flaps on the fender and the door trim had fallen off, the back window leaked, the heat shield was believed to have caused a vibration in the dash-per service dealer, the coolant light stayed on, the a/c had to be repaired twice, and the rotors vibrated.

3 Transmission Gear Slipping problem

Vehicle hesitates, jerks, transmission slips.
