One problem related to universal joint has been reported for the 2000 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes malfuction; when applying brakes they do not stop vehicle properly, causing extended stopping distance. Also, front bearings/ universal joint, and rear leaf spring assembly had to be replaced. Dealer / manufacturer notified . Feel free to provide any further details on this matter.
