Two problems related to hydraulic power assist steering system have been reported for the 2002 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While pulling vehicle into the garage the steering and brakes failed . As a result, vehicle collided into the side of the garage.
While making a right hand turn consumer lost steering control. This caused the consumer to hit a wall. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.
