1 Steering Tie Rod Assembly problem

Failure Date: 05/08/2014

07 GMC Sierra(new body style) was parked. When the truck was placed in reverse and the steering wheel slightly turned there was a loud pop underneath the fron end. The right front wheel would not turn when turning the steering wheel but the left would. The truck was towed to a repair shop and was diagnosed that the inner tie rod became unscrewed from the rack steering. New inner and outer tie rods were installed and the truck was re-aligned. If this had happened while driving down an interstate it may have been disastrous.
