1 Exterior Rearview Mirror problem of the 2002 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 05/01/2005

The mirrors on my GMC 1500 z71 truck keep breaking. I've only taken it through the car wash, when the attendent folds in the mirrors on both sides, when finished I fold them back and then they break. It has happened 2 times and the cost is $200 per mirror. Very unreasonable for a mirror. I have called gm(case 1-328469134) and they refuse to do antthing for me.

4 Exterior Rearview Mirror problem of the 2004 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 08/25/2004

The right side power extending camper style mirrors on my 2004 GMC Sierra 2500hd pickup truck has blind spots that will not allow you to see cars on the right side of the truck. You either adjust the mirror out and pointing down to see cars on the right side or you point the mirror towards the rear of the truck to see the back corner of the truck to back up to things. But you can not see both at once.

7 Exterior Rearview Mirror problem of the 2000 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 01/14/2000

I purchased a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd ext cab pickup and took delivery about 12-23-1999. I requested camper mirrors and the pasenger side came with regular glass, which makes it impossible to see in the blind spots . Gm would not do anything about it even though later the newer models came with a small convex mirror in the unit. The replacement for the truck now calls for the convex mirror but gm insists that the one I got was ok. What does it take to get gm to correct this problem?.

8 Exterior Rearview Mirror problem of the 2000 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 10/15/1999

Drivers side power window does not adjust sufficently to eliminate blind spot, mirror replaced under warranty. New mirror worked the same. Dealer says that is the way they all are. I am average size. This would be worse with tall drivers.

9 Exterior Rearview Mirror problem of the 1999 GMC Sierra

Failure Date: 05/20/1999

The abs system vibrates at a low rate and vehicle will not slow down when applying constant pressure on brakes. There appears to be a 2 to 3 second delay between the time abs takes over and when you have come control over the braking of the vehicle. This time elapse causes you to use other means for avoiding an accident such as veering to the left or right to avoid contact during heavy braking. This problem will also occur if the rear drivetran loses contact with the road surface during light braking. The driver has to always be aware of the possibility of not being able to stop to be able to avoid an accident. The outside mirrors on this vehicle ices up completely during winter highway driving at highway speeds over 45 mph. The time it takes for the mirrors to ice up completely is usually less than 15 minutes from initial start.
