Front Seat Power Adjust Problems of GMC Sierra

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra slt with power seats. The driver's seat is loose (not the same issue that was recently recalled with manually reclining seats). When you make a sharp turn at speed the drivers seat slides left or right depending on the direction you are turning. There are numerous complaints identical to this one on the forums online and gm claims they have no solution and to speak with the local dealer. My local dealer does not now know what to do and says they cannot fix it. This is a very dangerous situation and could cause an accident! please have gm fix it or issue a recall!.

: the contact stated while stopping the vehicle, both front seats move forward/backwards a quarter of an inch. The dealership determined the entire seat assembly needs to be replaced. Updated 5/10/2006 - the power seat track on both front seats were loose.

While driving front seat will automatically move forward, pinning the driver against the steering wheel. Consumer contacted the dealer. However, problem recurred. . . The owners manual tells how to activate the memory setting for front seats. , but it doesn't tell how to deactivate it.

The contact owned a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 hd. Contact received a recall letter for automatic seat failure. When getting out of the vehicle seat was suppose to move back to let consumer out, but instead it was moving forward, causing consumer to go under the steering wheel. Consumer called the dealership for the last six months, they knew the problem existed, but were unable to fix the problem. Therefore, there was nothing that they could do right now. The instrument panel will just came on without anyone touching anything. The problem with the seat happened at least once a day. It will reset itself all the time.

The personnel setting system that you can program your seat position and other functions in has failed on numerous occasions. This causes the seat to shove you into the daschboard or all the way back to the furthest position. I asked gm to fix this and I was given by the service manager at o'connor GMC augusta,maine the print out of a bulletin that states that it is a software problem and there is "no fix available at this time" and it states the technician should do nothing to try to fix this. It is bulletin #04-08-50-016 dated 8/19/04.

While approaching a stop sign at approximately 20 mph, the driver side seat adjustment broke free and the seat slid forward. Because of the anchorage of the seat belt being the seat itself, nothing held me back from contact with the steering wheel. Fortunately this happened at a low rate of speed. I am in the process of seeking reimbursement for repair cost in the amount of $513. 11 from gm who would not cover the repair because the vehicle is out of warranty.

The tailgate latch will not unlock the tailgate. The windshield wipers will not work, or will only work on high speed. Will sometimes work if turned to high first then to low speed. While starting to move from a stop sign the drivers seat broke from the adjustment rails, allowing the seat to fall to the rear, resulting in not being able to control the vehicle.
