Abs light keeps coming on while driving.
Tl-the contact owns a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving 10 mph the abs system will activate increasing the stopping distance of the vehicle and could lead to a crash. The contact stated the abs warning light does not come on when this happens. The contact took the vehicle to a local mechanic regarding the braking system. The mechanic stated the brake drums should be replaced due to debris build up inside causing the abs system to signal a faulty reading which activates the abs brakes at low speeds. The contact called the manufacturer regarding the abs system and the manufacturer suggested to take the vehicle to a dealer for a diagnostic test. The contact stated the vehicle was unsafe to drive.
