Tl the contact owns a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while reversing out of midway motors Buick GMC in newton (1124 washington rd, newton, KS 67114) the brakes failed when depressed. The service brakes assist light illuminated. The contact notified the dealer however, the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle already had an unknown recall repair for brakes serviced and the vehicle was over the warranty coverage. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.
60k miles. Service brake assist light came on after 1 hour drive. At low speeds, brake pedal is extremely difficult to depress (as if no power brakes on antique vehicle), truck does not stop as needed. Diagnostic check from onstar does not show any code.
