The contact took the vehicle to garber Buick GMC (5255 us-1, fort pierce, FL 34982, (772)467-0835) to be diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle back to the same dealer where it was diagnosed that the rack and pinion failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that an investigation would take place to determine the cause of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 27,548.
