Takata recall - I received the recall notice shortly after it was announced on 5/27/16. I have contacted multiple dealers numerous times and I'm always told that there's no remedy yet from the manufacturer. It has been over a year and a half, with no fix available. I have not had an accident that would deploy the airbag, but would like to get it fixed as soon as possible. I last contacted gunn Buick GMC in san antonio, texas on 12/12/17.

Takata recall I received a recall notice July 2015 saying parts were not currently available and I would be notified when they become available. I have not heard anything since. I do not think it should take more than 2 years to get this problem corrected. Today I received a notice that takata is filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy, so what are our chances to get this problem corrected? I am quite disturbed that gm would let a problem like this to continue this long. I have been a faithful gm customer ever since I purchased a 1951 chevy back in 1958. Thank you in advance for your consideration in this safety issue. There has been no accident with this vehicle!!.

Crack in dash at location around passenger airbag. Concern if air bag deploys, it will be cut or destroyed by the dash's sharp edges.

Takata recall, I have a letter from gm. Concerning the air bag recall dated 07/2016 informing me of said recall and stating that I would be notified when parts are available for repairs. That has been over a year ago and now I have a crack in the corner of the dash panel where the air-bag is located. After doing some research it appears that gm. Has issues with gm trucks, SUV's etc. From year 2007 until at least 2013 concerning this issue. I have contacted gm. Dealers and gm their self concerning repairs and or replacement of the airbags and stated my concerns with the dash being cracked in this location. These airbags have been documented to kill or injure people and as a concerned owner of one of these vehicles I feel gm. Is not moving fast enough to rectify this situation. There are millions of these vehicles affected by this recall on the road every day and that leads to greater risk of death or injury. I should not have to get rid of my vehicle because of safety concerns by the manufacturer. Thanks in advance for any assistance in this matter.

The dash around the airbag is cracked and I'm concerned about shrapnel if the airbag were to deploy.

Takata recall dealer sent recall letter in 2015 went to dealer 3 times over time, no parts available. Called GMC gave them same info. There answer this message is being recorded explained went to dealer no parts there reply to me bottom line, do not have any passengers in vehicle or replace parts at my expense. This is unexceptable they have parts for new vehicles being built this is unacceptable for every new car built they should replace one on recall or stop production on new vehicles. Cheaper to pay death of person than fix problem. Thank you.

Sun GMC refused to fix our airbag recall because we didn't buy it from them. There was a disturbance after the fact. They new is warrantied work and sent us away without fixing it leaving us open to getting hurt.

The vehicles dashboard is beginning to crack in multiple locations. This truck has less than 30,000 miles on it and it's only used as a leisure vehicle. One of the areas of major concern is, the crack that leads directly to the airbag. If the airbag were to deploy, I believe that shards of plastic would be thrown all over the interior of the vehicle. There's no reason for this dashboard to crack and the repair would be close to $1,000 dollars. In my opinion this is a manufacture defect, and a huge oversight on quality control.

Takata recall - we were told yesterday that a local dealership would not take our truck on trade because of the outstanding recall that has no remedy available. How do we have to wait for this remedy?.

1 day got in truck and noticed the dash was cracked on driver side behind the gauge cluster and as I looked I noticed it was also cracked at the 2 upper corners of the passenger air bag. The truck only has 25000 mile on it. Gm will not pay to have it fixed and I'm worried that it can affect the safety of the air bags.

The dashboard cracked which creates an extremely dangerous hazard should the airbag activate. The loss of integrity of the dashboard could create an explosion of dash material should the airbag activate in an accident.

Received recall #15438 (NHTSA campaign id # 15v324) from GMC on July 2015. Contacted GMC on 28 Sep 2016 and GMC advised parts for corrective fix are not available and on back order. 1 year and 2 months is excessive and parts should be made available ASAP.

Takata recall??? recall came out may 28 2015. Airbag defect can be very serious. Dealer in September 2016 says there is no resolution for recall. They do not have any airbags? how does one get replaced once deployed if none exist? if a replacement does exist then there is no excuse for not replacing them in a recall that is over a year old. Recall status: recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available we need to get GMC on the ball with a possible defect causing possible injury. This recall is taking too long to complete. That is my complaint.

Takata recall, it is now August 23, 2019 and I'm still driving around with defective airbags. The dealer tells me the parts are not available to fix them. What is I have an accident? this seems negligent.
