The contact owns a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 hd. The contact was driving approximately 50 mph and smelled burning coolant and the temperature gauge began to rapidly increase. The contact inspected under the hood and noticed the engine overheating with complete loss of coolant. Immediately, water was dispensed into the radiator reservoir. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer two different times for the same failure. The water pump was replaced twice. The manufacturer was notified and a complaint was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000.

Excessive rust on frame of truck, oil lines and gas lines are constantly rusting out. The truck is a GMC k-2500 h d extended cab, 2004 with 34,500 miles on it. Presently waiting for the cooling lines from the oil filter to the radiator which are leaking oil on the exhaust which could cause a fire, when draining oil to change it the oil [removing the plug] follows onto the hot exhaust pipe,another fire hazard. What can be done, can't afford another truck now.

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500. The contact stated that the vehicle's coolant is constantly low. The warning light indicated a low coolant level. The dealer diagnosed the cause of failure as the o ring missing from the fly wheel housing coolant. The dealer repaired the vehicle, however, the low oil indicator light illuminated. The dealer diagnosed the cause of failure as an oil filter leak. The seals and oil filter were replaced. When the contact picked up the vehicle, he noticed an oil leak. The vehicle has not been repaired. The current mileage is 4,000 and failure mileage was 650.
