"stability system disabled" was displayed prior to the brakes being engaged without driver input. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and a 'yaw sensor' replaced. The problem returned within 20 miles. A second sensor was replaced along with reprogramming. The problem continues. Dealer states "gm has told us to do nothing more". No further explanation is offered by the dealer or gm "customer assistance". I believe that a vehicle that activates brakes on dry pavement without the driver's foot on the pedal is dangerous.
The contact owns a 2004 GMC Yukon denali. The contact stated that while driving 25 mph and attempting to brake, the brake pedal abnormally traveled to the floorboard without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the brake lines were severely corroded and leaking. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 106,000. Kmj.
