I just purchased a 2007 Yukon xl denali. It is supposed to have 2 tether anchors in the third passenger row - it only has 1. I was told before purchasing during my comparisons that is was listed as having 2. My owners manual said it has 2 and even has a picture of their locations. There is only one. I contacted GMC they said it must of been a misprint and is illegal to retrofit a tether. I have child seats in the 3rd row that require tethers. I need at least 2. They basically said too bad.
On June 28, 2006 while looking at a general motors corporation 2007 Yukon, with a retractable middle seat. I had the passenger's rear door opened looking inside at the interior. The salesman, without looking where I was, pushed the top console button above the front seats which caused the seat to quickly and very hard to retract, striking the left side of my neck, temporally stunning me. This is a very dangerous option that could seriously hurt someone not knowing how fast and hard this occurs. I also don't know if there is any safety feature that this could happen while a small child or infant was in the seat and someone accidentally pushed the button.
