I had just left the free way went onto a 2 lain road we were driving about 50 mpr then we lost engine power,all the dash lights came on ,we pulled over the car killed,didnt know what to do ,so we waited a bout 8 minets then turned the key, the car started and we went on our way,a few minets later it did the same thing, it did it 2 more times, took it to the shop was told it was a gas tank sensor ,$500. 00 stoud at the shop,and the car still has the problem,what happens if the engine reduces power while do 65 mpr down the free way, ? I think we have a big safty consern here, and gm needs to know, if they dont all ready know. . .
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the repair shop for service maintenance. The failure was found in the fuel tank, where there was a leak. The vehicle was repaired by replacing the fuel tank. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue however no assistance was provided. The current and failure mileage was 48,000.
The incorrect fuel levels when it run low, it was showing that have 120 miles to go, when I just drove for 20 miles and it empty, it drop down so fast that I'm so nervous, almost on freeway no where near by for gas station, it happening seen I bought this truck back in 2009 and still now problem with it, I have to refill almost haft of the tank every time, can't wait until it empty light it will out of gas so quick, and second problem is steering making noise every turn on a colum of steering.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon denali. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact noticed the fuel gauge displayed an inaccurate full capacity level when the full tank was actually empty. The incorrect fuel gauge reading occurred whenever the vehicle was in motion. The vehicle was neither diagnosed nor repaired for the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
