I have tried for over a year to have the airbag serviced, no dealership has the information or equipment. Dash has even cracked from this airbag.
Takata recall very disappointed with GMC's handling of this recall. I just spoke with a supervisor at cust relations and was told "your vehicle is safe". If that is true, why is it on the recall list. Other manufacturers (Lexus, Toyota, etc) are making accomodations for customer and GMC is refusing to do so. To date, 10 deaths have occurred. I do not feel my care is "safe" and my opinion of GMC has sank to a bottom low. I will not purchase another GMC vehicle ever again. I understand that issues such as this can arise, but for their customer service relations department to take on the liability of declaring my vehicle to be safe is extremely concerning. Furthermore, they are unable to offer any kind of timeline for when they expect this to be taken care of. My case number is 8-2356073531. A representative and her supervisor both clearly stated that my vehicle is safe. I am certain that they cannot make those statements with 100% certainty; therefore, they have opened the company up to even greater liability. GMC is no longer a company that I trust.

Takata recall. I was notified about this recall when I attempted to trade my vehicle in. I have been driving a rental car for more than 6 weeks. I called gm and they told me that it is safe to drive and no remedy is available. It seems like they do not believe their vehicles should be included in this recall and have no intention of fixing the problem. Now I am stuck paying a payment on a car that I do not feel safe driving and can't trade due to the incomplete recall. This recall has been issued since may 27, 2016 and there is still no remedy. I refuse to drive my vehicle with the possibility that my family or I could be injured. Please either lift the recall if there is no need to fix it, or force gm to make the necessary repairs.
Takata recall".
The dash panel is cracked in several places and could affect the air bag deployment during a crash. I have been told the cause of the cracks are due to a combination of the flexing of the automobile, lack of proper support and heat.

Dashboard cracked at passenger air bag. If deployed pieces of plastic will fly thru the passenger compartment and hurt or kill passengers or puncture ai bag rendering it useless.
Takata recall, my vehicle is kept in a garage in excellent condition. I was driving down the road and heard a loud pop and looked and my dash cracked. The crack can interfere with my airbags due to plastic being cracked.
Dashboard has two large cracks in it, affecting the area around the airbag. Additionally, it rattles, causing the cracks to grow. It has been repaired by the dealer twice without success.
The dashboard is cracking in multiple places by the airbags. I am concerned that there will be shards of plastic flying at me/my family should an airbag deploy. The cracks are growing and happen at a standstill and while driving. I know this is a known problem with 2007-2013 dashes because there is a facebook group with over 4000 members who own gm products (yukon, tahoe, silverado etc) they are all having the same problem!!.
Yet another severe dash crack complaint to file with the many. Cracked dash that could possibly prevent proper deployment of airbag.
The dashboards of 2007-2013 chevy, GMC, Cadillac SUV's and trucks become cracked due to a factory defect in the materials used to make them. They in turn rattle severely. The main cause for concern in upon air bag deployment, pieces from the dash can puncture the air bag rendering it useless and also pieces from the dash can become projectiles causing severe injury as well. Gm has failed to acknowledge the severity of this problem and refuses to do anything to remedy it. There are thousands of other identical cases on the internet on various gm forums all stating the same thing. This needs to be addressed!.
I heard a pop one morning when getting into my vehicle. The dashboard cracked at the corners 2 front corners of the passenger airbags.
Takata recall and dash cracked @ 39,475 mileage causing the dash to be weak and crack at 2 other places on opposite side of dash between steering wheel and windsheild.
Dashboard is cracked above instrument panel. The crack is 12 inches long. It is also cracked completely to airbag on passenger side. This causes very loud rattling when driving. I am concerned it affects the quality of the airbag's ability to deploy. I am concerned that dashboard fragments may be propelled in the event of airbag deployment.
To whom it may concern; I own a 2010 GMC Yukon. I as well as others have a cracked dashboard, one near the deployment of my airbag and one on the driver side by the steering column. Considering GMC's interest in the safety and quality of their vehicles. It is a shame that there is not a recall because of such reason as death! there is a huge concern that the sharp edges of the cracks can absolutely cause he airbag to deploy and getting your hand cut and infection is a definite possibility. Not to mention the attention that the cracked dash is. When someone is walking by it is very noticeable and looks bad for GMC. This has been broadcast-ed on the memphis, TN news lately and one dash out of plenty has been properly taken care of. If this issue is not resolved and the importance of this I do plan on going to the news and taken further action. I would want to think that GMC would want to have higher standards and be compliant with this known, ignored and on going issue! waiting until damage is done is not the right thing to do. Fixing this issue is the right thing to do and GMC should stand with that. I will be waiting to hear from someone very soon. Thank you in advance!.
