Driver side brake led lighting is working intermittently. Had it replaced under warranty. Passenger side brake led lighting now working intermittently, new issue. Have not had replaced yet due to outrageous cost($700) for fixture replacement. Only 40,000 miles on vehicle obviously reflects a serious safety issue to financially strapped consumers.
The passenger side brake light on my 2015 GMC Yukon no longer works. The cost to replace it is over $500. After doing some research on led lights I believe the brake light is faulty or cheaply made and that it should last a lot longer than 3 years and 66,000 miles.
Both brake lights failed within weeks of each other - around 60k miles. Faulty led circuit boards. Light assemblies are not repairable by dealership. New assembly over $500 each. Gm takes no responsibility in resolving the issue. Unacceptable! no more gms for my family! . . And that includes chevy.
My passenger front light cover is acquiring condensation which makes the lights go off and on, and my driver side brake light works only intermittently. My insurance or warranty won't cover anything to fix these light issues. These issues started about may 2018. We weren't in a wreck or sustained any damages that would have led to these issues. I have talked to two other owners of the same make/model/year vehicle and we all have safety issues that are not being resolved by gm vwarranties. I want to see gm issue recalls and accept complete financial responsibility for repairs. I would also like to see the rear lighting system redesigned so the components are not dependent on each other. My brake light went out and instead of being able to replace a bulb the entire unit has to be replaced at $1700. 00 that we just simply do not have.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 GMC Yukon xl. While driving 60 mph, the rear driver's side brake light failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to five star Chevrolet Buick GMC (located at 495 watson blvd, warner robins, GA 31093, (478) 387-4424) where it was diagnosed that the brake assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred approximately 5 months later. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer for repairs and an oil change. The contact was informed that lifters on the engine and condenser line needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 96,000.
I was told my a collegue that my drivers side brake light was out. I took it into the local mechanic and it was not out. A few months go by and I am told again, that my drivers side tail light is out. I take it to a different shop and it is working correctly. The very next day a truck tells me at a stop light that I have no brake lights. I was pulled over by a police officer for not having properly working break lights. He let's me go with a friendly notice, but as soon as I started my vehicle to drive away he immediately pulls me back over to tell me that he was mistaken that only my driers side brake light was out. This has happened intermittently over the last three to four months.
The tail lights stop working or they flicker like there's a loose connection or something not making contact I e seen other complaints about the same thing and gm now has a new improved tail light but the old ones all fail all stop working . On the braking system it doesn't brake when going a low speed without giving it gas I have to pump n push the brakes all the way down or give it a lil gas to be able to stop or brake the lights flicker or stop working while driving stop all the time the dealer wants 1500-2000 to replace em the lights. . They are defective and should be recalled their bad workmanship shouldn't be mine our anybody else that has this vehicle burden this is not a cheap vehicle I paid over $50,000 used for about a year. . I need your help. The brakes need to be fixed also because at low speeds with no gas on the pedal I can roll into something hit something or someone.
