My driver side taillight went out. Dealership refused to replace as my 2016 was no longer under warranty. However, the dealership admitted to the large number of lights that they have had to replace. I had to order and aftermarket light to replace myself. The very next day after replacing the light, my passenger side taillight is now out. This is unacceptable!!! so many complaints regarding this online. This first happened to drive side around July 2019. We were finally able to replace the light in Jan 2020. The passenger taillight went out 1/13/2020.
A few months ago the driver side taillight stopped working (or would only work intermittently). Took to dealer and they said it was $850 to repair. Filed complaint with GMC and as I was working through that with them the passenger side taillight stopped working as well. Now I have a vehicle that is not even 3 years old without working taillights. This is totally ridiculous. A $65,000 'professional grade' vehicle should not be having this issue at 55,000 miles. GMC needs to wake up and recall these. Will it take a fatal accident to spur a recall??.
My left taillight is out. There was no damage to the light it just stopped working! it would work sometime and sometime it would not. Now it is not working at all!.
The drivers side brake/rail light stopped working and vehicle only has 27,800 miles on it. Have seen and heard of many others with the same problem. Led lights should last longer then incandescent lights.
Taillights, brakelights work inconsistently. Nothing is wrong with the bulbs. It is the assembly and design. It will cost about 1200-2000 dollars. Vehicle barely has 32000 miles on it. This can lead to an accident.
My passenger taillight has gone out. The GMC dealer has said they have had three instances this week alone. They can repair it and must be replaced the taillights are defective and need to be recalled.
Led taillight brake lamp went out. It's defective. Too many people are having the same problem with new vehicles.
The passenger side taillight on the vehicle works intermittently. As of late is has been completely out and not functioning at all.
Rear passenger light is not working. The board is cheaply made and dealer wants me to buy a new light fixture for $800.
Faulty break lights. The led circuit is faulty and cracks which requires the entire light assembly to be replaced.
Rear led tail lamps have a high failure rate, leaving the vehicle in the dark at night. This has occurred 2 time over the past 2 years. Light has now been out since Jan 2019 and gm claims they are still waiting on the part.
Left rear taillight is out. Car has <40k miles and required a $675 part to fix.
Both break lights went out, weather has been hot in the high 90s which GMC dealer expressed common concern among owners during summer. Vehicle is used 15miles/day on average.
Both of the taillights work intermittently. I have taken it in to the GMC dealer only to be told it will be 2000. 00 to replace them both. This is a factory problem. Sometimes one works, sometimes they both work and sometimes neither work, in motion, stationary, all streets and at any time.
GMC Yukon 2016 rear lights are defective. This is the 2nd time they have gone out and it is not a quick fix to replace. Cost is approximately $750 to replace a light that will go out again due to poor manufacturing and quality. The first time it went out was only a year after purchase. This is the 2nd time it has gone out and is not d=covere under warranty. These lights are not made to last a decent amount of time. There are numerous issues reported regarding these rear lights.
Taillight quit working.
Both break lights went out.
Tl the contact owns a 2016 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that while driving, the rear lights were intermittently illuminated. The contact was alerted by other drivers on the road. There was no warning lights illuminated.
