: the contact stated while inspecting a vehicle for purchase at a dealership, the contact's child who was sitting in the second row seat pressed the auto folding seat control which knocked the child backwards trapping the child between the two rows of seats. The contact freed the child by manually pulling the second row seat upwards. Both the dealer and manufacturer were alerted. The consumer stated the child was injured. Updated 09/22/06.

: the contact stated that the nuts are welded on the underside of the driver side power seat and the weld is broken. Therefore, the seat moves at will. While driving, the driver's power side seat begins to move forward. The dealer states there was no solution at this time. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on twelve occasions. The driver's seat memory switch was inoperative, there was noise at idle and was unable to be duplicated, the satellite radio would lose frequency, the seam on the drivers seat material was wearing and the horn was delayed.

Vehicle has automatic seats. The automatic seat module will not retain the stored information which is used to set the seating position. The seat will not go back to allow the driver to get out of the vehicle. Also, the motor that operates the movement of the seat began to run while the vehicle was in motion, causing the seat to move forward into the dashboard. Owner contacted the manufacturer, who was not willing to do anything about this defect. Dealer stated that until the manufacturer can fix the seat module seat it should be turned off and not used.
