Driving 50 miles per hour and heard a loud bong, sounding like a broken guitar string followed by exact same sound 1/2 mile later, then tire went flat within a distance of two miles.

While driving on an interstate highway at 70 mph I experience a total tire failure whereas the middle 4 inches of the tread/belt area of my bf goodrich lt245/75 r 16 lre m+s commercial t/a all season bf11 jd11 4011 tire completely separated from the tire's core, resulting in the remainder of the tire's tread/belt to continue stripping away causing significant wheel well, rear quarter panel, gas tub, and electrical harness damage to my 2005 Yukon xl 2500. Tires had just passed a nc safety inspection, were properly inflated with 38,000 miles on them.

Vibration though car at high speeds since car is new. Dealer replaced one tire and that cured problem for a short period. Have returned vehicle to dealer several times for the reoccurring problem and it has not been addressed correctly received recall letter from continental tire due to vibration issues. My vehicle is not equipped with tires containing date code affected by the recall. The make, model, and size of tires does match recall. I believe there is a larger issue covering a much larger period of time of tire manufacture and my car should be included in recall. For the most part have stopped driving the car for fear of a tire blowing out or damaging the vehicle.

Brought Yukon in to koons GMC in manassas, virginia in 2012 for two recalls which I was told were both done along with getting an estimate for $3300 for largely an intake manifold. I have called gm corp and been told many times over that past two years as more cars have been added to recall lists that there were no remaining recalls for my vehicle; now gm corporate says the wheel sensor recall (necessary to avoid low speed crashes) was actually never performed and gm corporate cannot explain why I have been told by both dealerships in the DC area and gm corporate over the past two years (exceeding 10 total calls) since that there were no remaining recalls left to perform on this Yukon. Presumably the headrest recall I brought it into koons in manassas, va as a second afterthought to the wheel sensor recall was the only thing they ended up doing other than giving me an estimate for over $3300 for work that has never needed to be done. My unanswered question to gm corporate was "I's this how your going to handle the ignition recalls?" additionally, gm claims to be unable to answer the question of whether my ignition switch is the same in design as any of those that have been recalled. Do americans citizens not have the right to at least that much "proprietary"-protected information from gm? gm corporate's specialist claimed to object to my mentioning that I, too, might record the call. Koons also never noticed that the previous owner had broken out the abs light because prior to the recall (which should have later tipped me off that they did not actually clean the wheel sensor and check the abs light since it was not on the $3300 estimate of necessary repairs), because nobody really knew then why the abs light would stay on. I believe this was a retaliatory act. I mentioned to koons asnd gm corporate before service that I was disabled.

I purchased a new 2008 GMC Yukon denali in January of 2008 . This car has 60000 miles on it and has never been in a accident . I have replaced all 4 tires on the truck due to a constant lose of air in the tires to find out after replacing the tires that the lose of air is due to the air leaking thru the rims . I understand that you are going to have wear and tear on a vehicle but in all of my 30 years of driving I have never heard of the rims going bad on a car. As I see it the rims are like the foundation of a house and should last the life of the truck . You should not have to replace such an item ,also after looking on line and contacting the dealer it has been brought to my attention that this is a common problem with several gm trucks made between 2006-2010. Also as a result of the air leaking out as the truck was being driven by my wife she made a turn and as she was turning the tire gave out due to a lose in pressure.

The spare tire is stored under vehicle and lowered from beneath the vehicle by a cranking a cable. It also has a secondary latch to keep it from falling on road if that cable should fail. The problem is that the latch is designed very poorly and quite susceptible to rusting from road salt. This prevents it from releasing the spare tire from the vehicle. The reason this is a safety issue is that the spare tire is impossible to use without prior knowledge on exactly how to release a frozen safety latch. It is very unlikely anyone would be able to do so while stranded roadside with a flat tire. It would at least greatly extend the amount of time person would be working on their vehicle along the road.
Came out of carwash and rear suspension locked up and back of my vehicle raised approximately 8/12 inches light came on said service suspension and trailer breaking system. Vehicle has never hauled anything a burnt smell came from back end. This vehicle has never even hit a pothole. Only been driven locally. I'm a little frustrated because I had immediately taking it in to the dealership where I purchased it. And they treated it like it was not a big deal. When back in felt like it was grabbing every time the brake was applied. They sure didn't have a problem giving me a $800. 00 hundred dollar bill on a $63,000 thousand dollar basically brand new vehicle. I got online and saw many others with same problem. And that shouldn't be for a vehicle that could buy a small house. Thank you for your time julie endicott.

Tl the contact owns a 2010 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that there were cracks in the dashboard. The vehicle was taken to mark christopher auto center (located at 2131 e convention center way, ontario, CA 91764) where it was determined that the 2010-14 models experienced the same failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 9-4939088368. In addition, while driving various speeds, the check engine, stabilitrak, and service traction control warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle also shook and lost power. The contact was able to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road and powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted and was able to drive normally, but the failure recurred numerous times. The contact also stated that a squeaking noise and a burning odor were coming from the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that an unbalanced wheel was making the vehicle shake and the front driver's side wheel hub sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred five miles from the dealer. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 9-4965946886. The approximate failure mileage was 65,221.

1. Rims are showing signs of corrosion, flaking and blistering of the chrome on the aluminum rims. 2. Vehicle has new battery installed and is being drained some how while the navigation and radio seem to be operating while the vehicle is off. This problem results into a dead battery after vehicle is parked for a several minutes. *note: no solution at this time has fixed the problems listed. I have read hundreds of complaints of this nature and a quick response would be greatly appreciated.
Michelin ltx m/s p235/55r20 tires. All four tires are losing air (filled with nitrogen). Owner consistently have to take to costco to inflate tires to correct air pressure. The side walls show excessive cracks. Tires tread very good. Warranty will not address my concern. Vehicle is only use for long distance traveling. Dot info on tires: rear b39y 56ex 2511 and front b79y 4fjx 1609/0000. Michelin recall is only on one size tire: lt 225/75r16. Owner suspects other size tires manufactured during the same time period of 0210-2512 are affected also.
Potential safety concern over tires losing air pressure due to leaks caused at tire/wheel interface. Root cause is that chrome plating on aluminum wheels are peeling, resulting in corrosion of the aluminum substrate causing inability to achieve proper sealing between the tire and the rim. It is known in the industry that chrome plating on aluminum has a limited life expectancy (approximately 2 years) before peeling of the chrome occurs. More robust coating methods are available, such as physical vapor deposition (pvd).
The contact is a mechanic who was performing work on a 2008 GMC Yukon denali. The contact noticed the chrome on all four wheels were deteriorating and leaving a powdery residue substance. The consumer noticed the chrome was peeling off the rims from the inside due to deterioration of the alloy of the rim. Updated 05/10/11.
The contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon. While driving approximately 45 mph the contact noticed the drivers side tire had blown out. The contact replaced the tire with the spare and drove the vehicle to a tire shop. The mechanic stated the electrolysis inside of the wheel caused damage to the tire. The front passenger side tire also blew out and was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated this was known problem but did not offer assistance. The contact had the driver and passenger side front wheel reconditioned. The mechanic advised the failure would occur again because the wheel was defective. The drivers side tire was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
Multiple brake line rupture/ failure on different occasions.
Abs activates during slow stops, increases stopping distance. Dealer performed recall 05v37900 and problem persists. Dealer replaced both front speed sensors and problem persists. I believe problem is corrosion in front wheel hubs on tone ring. Recall does not address that part.
Several issues with vehicle. Throttle body, computer electrical system, transmission fluid and coolant leak. Door hinges rusted and hard to open doors. Chrome rims pitting and peeling. Steering column replaced. Tailgate rattles. Vehicle only has 37k miles.
The left front wheel nearly fell off our 2002 Yukon 1500 slt. We had just stopped to pay a toll on the maine turnpike. As we drove out of the toll booth, my husband had difficulty controlling the vehicle. A terrible grinding noise came from the left front end of our car. The abs light flashed on. Gripping the wobbly steering wheel, my husband guided the vehicle across several lanes of traffic into the narrow breakdown lane. The left front wheel was almost completely off the vehicle. Cars and trucks whizzed by dangerously close as my husband tried to reposition the wheel and tighten the bolts that had loosened. Two hundred miles from home, and a few miles from our destination, we hobbled on. My husband stopped repeatedly to retighten the bolts. We got off the turnpike and inched along slowly on back roads. Still, this final leg of our journey was treacherous. Steering was all but impossible. We nearly went off the road. When finally safely stopped, the tire and metal wheel parts were so hot, they had to be hosed down. Smoke came from the wheel. The metal was scorched. The caliper holding the wheel was severely bent, the brakes destroyed, and the inside of the wheel scored and charred. Parts had disintegrated. The bearings were gone. It is incredible we were able to drive even 10 miles. If I had been behind the wheel, instead of my husband, I would have lost control of the car. If the problem had manifested itself as we hurtled down the highway instead of exiting a toll booth, the wheel surely would have flown off the car into traffic. I shudder to think of the consequences. Our two young sons were in the back seat. We were very lucky, but are now minus a vehicle we need. It sits where we left it, 200 miles away. We need to bring it home, but the tow charge will be prohibitively expensive, not to mention the repairs. This should not have happened. We never received any notice of known problems related to an issue with this Yukon's wheels. Why not?.
Taking off from a stop or accelerating from a low speed the traction control message comes on and vehicle looses power. Happens several times everytime I drive the vehicle. I have 3 children under the age of 10 that have been with me when this happens. I fear we will be involved in an accident because of this power train failure. Dealer claims there is no problem or error codes.
