Regardless, of how long the vehicle sat, when the consumer gave the vehicle gas, the throttle stuck. It did not matter if it was in reverse or forward. This problem was intermittent, and has been happening for the past 4 to 5 years. This has been reported this to the dealer. They suggested that she bring it in for a throttle cleaning, which she did. The mechanic from the dealership told her that she would have to have this done again because it would continue to happen. The consumer called the dealership and the manufacturer, and they have been of no help. And often refer her to have the throttle cleaned again at her cost.
